#note I would have had I5 DEALATION 62 if not for NTH. I struggled here with no very appealing options. I opted to take a few extra points and blow the board open. The D hook to WELL didn't seem worth relying on enough to fish, since many of the bingo I'd draw don't end in D.
These are delicate, psychological situations which I'm not sure a sim can fully capture, but the top performing of the plays I simmed is F10 NO for 2, followed very closely by exchanging the O. I thought of the exchange but not really the NO play. These are followed a few points behind by F7 OD 12, J6 OIL 5 and J6 DOL 8, and finally, of course, my play, which comes in about 6.5 behind NO. Quackle doesn't adjust its responses to fishing plays like a human would, so even though it claims I bingo 52% after the exchange and 61% after NO, I doubt this matches reality.
Still, I see the merit of the exchange in that it gives nothing additional back and rolls the dice for some easy bingos on the E column, plus some if he decides to play through rather than exchange himself. The idea of the NO play I suppose is to fork the board, since he will usually play on row 12 unless he has something much more compelling. I think I should have exchanged here.

#note Sims just slightly behind 12A YORE 29. With the U-less Q now in my rack I was bracing for an exchange next turn, so I wanted to tighten up the board.

#note I took a long time here. I'm not sure if I much considered 6H VOX, which sims 5 points ahead of my play, though my play still comes out ahead of all the others I simmed. These included L11 AVO (setting up my F for something like FUSEE or FUSER, I guess) at a point behind VAU, the obvious play of O1 VAST 34 at 1.5 behind VAU, and 1L BOUT 18 at 2 points behind VAU.
I can't fully remember why I chose VAU, but I think I wanted to retain the S to hook THIRD with something better, and kill the many possible bingos on row 2 since it seemed increasingly likely he had the blank if not the last S. There were also three more U's unseen and it seemed like a good idea to shed one before I drew another.
It looks close to me between VOX and VAU, but 5 points is significant in this close game, so I'll agree with the sim that VOX is best. I do often get an E for O1 FUSE 34 next turn too.

#note I drew OUU to my AIST leave. Pretty brutal. This officially sealed it for me.

#note Eric commented earlier how weird this game was, and I'd have to agree. Afterward he called it stressful, which it certainly was for me too. Though it was a disappointing finish to this tournament, with its mere single bingo and close combat it may have been one of the most interesting of my games.
