>David_Weisberg: EEGGNPS 8H EGG +10 10
#note Sims about 1.5 behind 8G PEG 12. This is a close call, but I don't like keeping G here without an I. A bingo next turn seemed like a better bet with EGG, but the sim says each turn bingo about equally. I suppose I felt like being bolder to hopefully regain some of the huge loss in spread I suffered in the prior two rounds, though in the best case scenario, finishing 8-7 still falls short of placing.

>Mark_Schmidt: AF J6 FA. +15 15
>David_Weisberg: EHNOSVW 6D WHO +17 39
#note This was sloppy. I should have played K3 WOVEN 29 or WOVENS 37. Both sim over 13 points ahead of my play, with WOVEN half a point ahead of WOVENS. 8D WHO for the same score was considered, but I though I might hit a high scoring 6 on row 8 next turn if I couldn't bingo. In retrospect, 8D WHO restricts his possible bingos, especially since he played off just two tiles. WOVEN seems to be the play though.

>Mark_Schmidt: LMO 8A MOL. +18 105
>David_Weisberg: ADEINSZ 10B AN.DIZES +72 111
#note Sims 4 points ahead of playing it at B6 for the same score.

>Mark_Schmidt: INTY L3 TYIN +31 144
>David_Weisberg: AAGIISX 11I IXIA +24 166
#note Interesting situation. M1 IXIAS is 45, and with two S's unplayed, I might well draw another. The opening this creates is daunting on an otherwise somewhat limited board, but 21 points is a big difference. I also could have retained the S and played M1 IXIA 31. In a sim, IXIAS performs nearly 4 points ahead of M1 IXIA, and about 4.5 ahead of my play.

This decision required more objectivity than I could muster. Chastened by my big losses in the prior two games, I was feeling more risk-averse. But I think the M1 plays might be hard for a lot of players to stomach, and especially after IXIAS, I feel rather disarmed going forward.

>David_Weisberg: ADEEGPS 2B GAPED +35 201
#note Sims even with PAGED. Cashing in the S with M1 PASE comes out 2 points behind these.
>Mark_Schmidt: DENOT 1E TONED +25 235
>David_Weisberg: AEIISTV M1 VISE +49 250
#note I almost played M1 VISA here and changed it to VISE because there was only one A unseen compared to three E's (I might have thought there were even more) and, being a bit behind, I wanted to create a better bingo line on the N column. VISA still sims a point better.
>Mark_Schmidt: EH 2I EH +30 265
>David_Weisberg: AEIIOST 3B OI +11 261
#note I considered 1M VIA 18, but similar to last turn, I was afraid of the extra O's left, and of course O is usually an infeior tile to A, especially for bingos. VIA sims 1.5 points better, but I bingo over 10% more often after OI. I am fine with this choice.
>Mark_Schmidt: CERV L9 CR.VE +20 285
>David_Weisberg: AEIKSTT 4A KAT +19 280
#note Played this way too quickly. I missed the beautiful play of 5D SAKTI 48, which I didn't know, but SAKI for 46 would have been worth considering. I hadn't been thinking about the front S hook to WALLOWER this whole game, somehow. Apart from these I still should have played 1L KVAS 48. SAKTI sims best, with KVAS about 2.5 behind it, SAKI about 5 points behind, and my play over 8 points behind.
>Mark_Schmidt: CDENO 14J CONED +39 324

#note I didn't write my leave down after BEFIT, but I know I had ES. It was probably R or N.
>Mark_Schmidt: MOU 1L O.UM +30 354

#note Lucky break, or I might have had to play an actual endgame
