#note I have probably played PLEW numerous times but I was unsure of it here. I would have preferred it (at 8F), and the sim agrees. It beats MEWL by about 3.5 points.

>David_Weisberg: ABMOOYY 6C BOYO +17 80
#note I had a tricky time with this one. 9E YOM 24 is the top simming play, coming out 6 points ahead of BOYO. 9J MAYO 18 is less than a point behind YOM, but given that AE was just played, I was concerned he was close to a bingo (though the board quickly became very tight). I think BOYO is fine here for that reason, not to mention the leave. Though YOM sets up my tiles for a good follow-up, it is very likely he will play in that spot, and I may or may not have a good response.

#note 5B FILM 34 is preferred by 3 in a sim, but AAY? seems restrictive. I considered D5 FOAMY 21 but I decided it gives up too much control. It seems over 2 points behind FAY. FAY still seems right to me

#note They key turn of the game for me. I didn't consider enough the strong synergy of EITV? given both an E and a T were open, and instead focused on getting rid of either V or U but preferably both, given there were two more U's unseen. Quackle likes 9D FEU 8 and it's easy to see why, given the unseen tiles. I need to not only bingo but ideally hit one of the triples on row 15 or column A, and those bingos score much better with a V. I opted to shed both V and U while keeping things as open as possible. VUG comes out 14 points behind FEU, while J13 GUV, which I also consiidered, sims 10.5 behind FEU. More importantly at this point, the win percentages of VUG and GUV trail FEU by over 10%.

#note Probably better at A7 to block JNANAS. I didn't see it at the time because I was pretty resigned at this point. If I myself somehow drew into and played JNANAS it would still fall slightly short.
