>Jackson: EHIKNRZ H4 HIKER +32 32
#note though ZERK is standard here, limits his comebacks, I felt like HIN was not a good leave for that board, and HIKER gives me decent enough options with the Z that I am the bigger favourite. Sim is quite close, though prefers ZERK by a point
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AFJNOSU 5E FUJ. +28 28
>Jackson: DEHINRZ 4D ZIN +31 63
#note strongly considered Z(E)N but felt like it was a bit too big a sacrifice to warrant. the I doesn't actually help DEHR so much, and the defense of ZEN isn't so grand. ZIN sims best
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ABILNOS 9B ALBINOS +74 102
#note he considered HOBNAILS

>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AELLTVX A1 VALET +32 202
#note josh might have tunnelled here between the A column plays - he liked VALET to keep X possibilities on the F14 spot, over AXE A6 for 58 keeping the ugly LLTV, but he has just LAX at F12 for 55! VALET actually only sims around 4 points below LAX
>Jackson: ENNOSTW F12 NOW +31 193
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ?BILQUX D1 QUI. +32 234
#note I think he missed XU A7 here, which is def worth playing despite shedding the U
>Jackson: EENOSTY 6H .EYNOTES +75 268
#note Q still prefers KEYSTONE by a point. The S is way less risky for triple triples, and QUIZ took a while so I thought he might have a blank, and another lurks in the bag. The S is more dangerous for scoring plays, but I was less concerned about that
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ?BELORX 7H .X +34 268
#note BOXERS wins a sim by 7 here over EX
>Jackson: ?AGLORW O1 GROWL. +42 310
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ?BELORY A7 BO +31 299
#note he has BLOOMERY and BROKENLY here. it looks correct to bingo here but BO is not so bad
>Jackson: ?ADEGNN L2 ANDr.GEN +70 380
#note damn, saw ENDANGER at N6 but not at 2H! Given his range (he took a ton of time so almost positive he has a blank) I think ENDANGeR is the play
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ?CELMRY 8K M.RCY +36 335
>Jackson: ADGIORT C6 IDO. +25 405
#note vowels in the pool, so I like shedding as many as bossible, and I want to edge my way to a position where I can outrun bingoes, because they will be tough to stop for the rest of the game. BOAT or IDOL sim best, similar ideas
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ?AEFILU 1D .UAIL +42 377
>Jackson: ACGIPRT 12D C..TRIP +24 429
#note I think CANTRIP is a really bad play, and it might be good if I were up another 10 points. It doesn't do much to restrict his bingo %, realy it lets him bingo the most of any reasonable play. The idea was to outrun some bingoes on the M or N column cause they give me the triple, to leave 1 in the bag to limit his options with outplays after bingoing, and limit his fishing options. While it is great to play 5 tiles to limit his fishing options, the other factors don't hold up because his bingoes score just enough to outrun me, pretty consistently. While CANTRIP does well when he doesn't immediately have a bingo, it doesn't have a great play to counter when he does, and since he is almost guaranteed a blank here, I think it's a fair amount of the time he bingoes. With EF? implied, he actually only bingoes 30%, but that's still losing a large amount of the time. I think the best play here is GIP/TOP for 20. It doesn't outrun bingoes anywhere near consistently, but if I catch him with three vowels after a bingo I typically win, plus I can counter bingo occasionally (not likely but it counts). Also, a factor I didn't consider enough was that his fishing options aren't actually amazing, since all the lanes are centralized on the bottom right, so I can often block all bingoes he is fishing for. GIP is nowhere near foolproof, but I think it's far better than CANTRIP
