>Jonathan_Lindh: AAHRSUW 8G WAUR +14 14
>Frank_Tangredi: EHN 9I HEN +21 21
>Jonathan_Lindh: AHOOOPS 7I HOO +26 40
#note Best. I thought HEN was an X or Z setup so HOO was great to block those setups.
>Frank_Tangredi: GJO 6K JOG +20 41
>Jonathan_Lindh: AFIOPSS L4 PO.F +28 68
#note Best. POOF sets up my S on the front end of POOF and creates phony S and Y hooks on the back end. I love it!
>Frank_Tangredi: EKN G5 KNE. +12 53
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACGISSX 5D CAS. +20 88
#note Out of the box, but I stand by this play, setting up my S. If POOFS* was valid, this would be a completely different turn.
>Frank_Tangredi: ACDEELR L9 DECLARE +80 133
>Frank_Tangredi: ACDEELR -- -80 53
#note I successfully played this phony against Michael Fagen in Lake George last year and now an opponent plays this phony on me. I instantly challenge.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EGIIPSX N2 PIXES +46 134
#note My setup worked but now I can't utilize it because I know Frank's whole rack and he would have F1 REPLACED if I played H1 PIXES for 56. N2 PIXES seems best given Frank's rack.
>Frank_Tangredi: ACDEELR M3 LA +20 73
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?EGGIMZ E4 G.G +5 139
#note Too panicky. Just F2 ZIGS for 34.
>Frank_Tangredi: CDEEIR K9 .ICE +12 85
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?EIIMOZ 12J M.ZE +30 169
#note I thought I was blocking.
>Frank_Tangredi: ?ADEERT 13I DERATEd +94 179
#note My block did nothing but give Frank more points.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AIIIOT O11 OI.IA +15 184
#note Best.
>Frank_Tangredi: EOV O1 VOE +25 204
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AIILNT 6E .I. +10 194
#note I saw INITIAL but mentally thought it was spelled with 8 letters. This was not a good play.
>Frank_Tangredi: AAI D4 A.AI +23 227
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AILNNT C7 ANTLIoN +69 263
#note Best. ANTLION is the only bingo.
>Frank_Tangredi: OY D12 YO +20 247
#note I wonder if Frank had a CASKY play.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIMTTUV C2 VUM +22 285
#note Best.
>Frank_Tangredi: AEEORRR 2B O.ERRARE +76 323
>Frank_Tangredi: AEEORRR -- -76 247
#note 2A ROVER for 16 is the best play, forking the board. I took 30-60 seconds to challenge, and then I did.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEILQTT 2C .ITTLE +11 296
#note I saw VITTLE before Frank played OVERRARE* but concluded it was too risky. However, knowing Frank's full rack gave me the confidence to play it. What does it do? Blocks the CASKS/CASKY spot, sets up my Q for at least 21 and digs for either the I, the U's or the W and Y all of which can be used to score a ton. VITTLE also prevents ROVER, which aggressively forks the board. I know Frank can't hit me hard at H1. 100% worth it!
>Frank_Tangredi: AEEORRR 1H RARER +24 271
#note ROARER in this spot is probably best for Frank. However, this is tricky for Frank because there is an unseen Q and he might hesitate to play long for this reason.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEILQSU 1D QI +44 340
#note My plan works out beautifully and I hit the QI bomb!
>Frank_Tangredi: FO 8A FO. +18 289
>Jonathan_Lindh: DDELSTU A8 .UD +7 347
#note Blocking to be sure.
>Frank_Tangredi: EWY 14H YEW +36 325
>Jonathan_Lindh: DDELSTU 15G DELS +43 390
#note I didn't calculate the endgame right. 15G DEL for 31 leaving the S off is best because I have out at H3 and N8.
>Frank_Tangredi: BBNNRST N13 .BB +26 351
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DTU 15L TU.. +7 397
#note I1 TUBA for 14 is 1 point better.
>Frank_Tangredi: NNRST 13B S..RT +5 356
#note H1 RENTS for 17 is best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: D D12 ..D +7 404
#note I1 AD for 14 is best. YOD is 2nd best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (NN) +4 408
#note GAG and GIN were mistakes but other than those, I played well. lots of tactical decisions in this game.
