#player2 Arie_Sinke Arie Sinke
>Mark_Edward_Owens: IIIIIII -IIIIII +0 0
>Arie_Sinke: AEEGOOT 8D GOATEE +18 18
#note It seems clear that this is called for; any attempt at rack balancing gives up too many points.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: IIIUUUU -IIUUUU +0 0
>Arie_Sinke: AEGOOQV -AGOOQV +0 18
#note Exchanging is called for here. QAT G6 isn't worth it.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: BEIX 9E IBEX +32 32
>Arie_Sinke: AEEFILM 7G ALME +31 49
#note This looks right. The leave isn't the best but it scores enough.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: AA 6J AA +8 40
>Arie_Sinke: EFIIISU -FIIIU +0 49
#note This exchange looks correct. It can be tempting to forge ahead with some low scoring play with a poor leave after a previous unsuccessful exchange, but here options like FIE are clearly not worth the few extra points they add to the scoreboard.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: AEILNRS L3 NAILERS +69 109
>Arie_Sinke: AEEEHIS 6F AHI +26 75
#note Several reasonable options here; this is probably the best I can do. HAE M9 is a more aggressive choice, but it gives up a lot of points and offers Mark easy scoring responses. I don't love keeping the three Es but there doesn't seem to be a good way around it.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: AIIMNT M9 INTIMA +21 130
>Arie_Sinke: EEENSTU 15L TEEN +24 99
#note Looks like there are a few better options here. I was not familiar with the word TENUES (a sticky S six) but it plays with INTIMAS for 30. In this situation it's worth it to spend the S to get rid of the U and score a few more points, which was surprising to me. Plays like SUETE, ENSUE, and UNSEE sim a bit better than TEEN as well - these plays score a bit more, spend the S, and get rid of the U. At any rate I have to take out the INTIMA hooks.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: BCIIO 3I BIO.IC +26 156
>Arie_Sinke: EOPSUYY O1 POSY +50 149
#note This is best.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: ?EENPSW 12H SWEEP.Ng +76 232
>Arie_Sinke: DEGTUVY 5B GYVED +29 178
#note The leave isn't great but this at least scores well and opens up a new quadrant with the G. Looks best.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: DOOW C1 WOOD. +24 256
>Arie_Sinke: JLSTTUV K2 V.LT. +22 200
#note I have to do this and leave the W open - the V is really bad and I can't afford to keep it.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: ADK 1A DA.K +51 307
>Arie_Sinke: EJNSTUU K11 J.U +20 220
#note The U that I have been retaining, rightly or wrongly, since turn 6 is finally duplicated. JEU looks right; if I can draw a bingo fast I might still have a chance.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: HI 14M .HI +24 331
>Arie_Sinke: EFNQSTU H12 .UQ +12 232
#note This play look like my best shot by far. SUQS in the same spot is a much better play for equity, and if I were fixated on keeping my over 300 streak alive that would be the right play, but according to a sim to the end of the game I win over 10% of the time with SUQ. Granted, Mark will block whenever he has the I or the blank, but I need to hope to get really lucky here. There are all sorts of conceivable scenarios in which I pull this out. Without a blank, Mark would need the D, F, or N to block effectively with a Q play.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: ?DRTU 15D TURDs +54 385
>Arie_Sinke: EFFGNST 4J F..T +14 246
#note FLAT is not a good play. SETTING 5H for 23 is my best option.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: AORR N6 ROAR +9 394
>Arie_Sinke: EFGLNNS O8 GEN +25 271
#note ENGS O6 for 32 would be a bit better.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: EIOORUZ 3B O.ZIER +16 410
>Arie_Sinke: CFLNRS E1 SL.C. +20 291
#note SLICE is my best endgame play.
>Mark_Edward_Owens: OU F13 OU. +5 415
