>Joe_edley: FKNOOQT -FKOOQT +0 0
>Jackson_smylie: ?BEEGJR H4 GREBE +20 20
#note really tough opening rack. J doesn't go great with the blank, but hoping the board will be more open in two turns after dumping the J, which is good for the blank. Q prefers plays that dump the J immediately, JEER wins a sim. Considered JEBEL and JAEGER as well, but the blank is worth it to keep. This looks like a minor mistake

>Jackson_smylie: ??JORTT K5 J.TpORTs +102 122
>Joe_edley: BDEEKNR 9I KN.B +15 25
>Jackson_smylie: AGNNOOY 12H GOO.Y +20 142
#note I liked the defense of GOOSY, I figured KNOB balanced his rack and so blocking the G column and the 11/12 rows was nice. ORANGY is a great play that I considered just for being way more solid, but at this score I liked the defense. Sims best
>Joe_edley: ADEERRS H12 .RAD +18 43
>Jackson_smylie: ADGNNOT 14E GON.D +9 151
#note continuing the defense because RAD are all great floaters. Usually I would have played something like GOANNA for a more complete defense, but this tournament I started keeping a lot more safe leaves when ahead to avoid disaster draws. Plus, GOANNA sets up some heavier hitting 15K plays. PAGOD or PANTO at 8K are also okay to outrun, but I prefer the more defensive line.
>Joe_edley: EEPRSSV M2 PERVS +29 72
>Jackson_smylie: ACIINTW E9 CAWIN. +24 175
#note lucky to have basically the perfect blocking play
>Joe_edley: EEENSTV 2J VEE.S +36 108
>Jackson_smylie: ADEISTU 13G U.D +17 192
#note same as last turn
>Joe_edley: AAEEINT 10I AE.IE +21 129
>Jackson_smylie: AEISTXY D12 XI +38 230
#note I might want to do TAXI here. ESY works well with the pool, the lane I am creating is very minor, so the points can really help. I liked setting up YE or YES with XI, but the problem is that YES will give back AXIS, so unless he plays at c13 I often will only play YE. however, continuing the path of longterm defense is nice, with just one N out the 4 row is not as big, so maybe I can eventually close the entire top left. I think TAXI is standard here but XI is not so bad
>Joe_edley: ACELNTU D10 TA.. +18 147
>Jackson_smylie: AELSTWY F10 WE +33 263
#note felt like the S was worth keeping to counter his setups. WAS is okay as well, but of course sets up a line he can fish to. I will always do WE here
