#note I played QUAY in order to keep IG in case I drew the N for EXACTING

#note Just like I drew it up!

>Marty_Gabriel: EFLLORT D8 FOR.TELL +82 289
>ken_Rubin: AEFNNNR 8A NAF.ER +36 178
#note This was satisfying because I had just studied the 4s entering this tournament, so I knew NAFF was an adjective and NAFFER/NAFFEST was good. Marty held briefly but ultimately let this go.
>Marty_Gabriel: ABO 14J OBA +25 314

#note This was helpful, but I'm still down by a lot
>Marty_Gabriel: DDOO 5E DODO +19 333
>ken_Rubin: CIIINSW F13 WIN +28 275
#note I liked F13 WIN because I wanted to keep my S on this board. It's especially valuable for NONEQUALS and OKAS. Also, I will likely need a bingo to get back into it, and the S will be helpful for that
>Marty_Gabriel: AEM 5K MAE +22 355
>ken_Rubin: CIIINRS H2 INI.. +6 281
#note This was a tough position. I'm reeally feeling stressed down 80 points at this stage in the game. I didn't love H2 INION (especially without holding one of the blanks for pINION), and especially because it doesn't score much, but it does open things up and create volatility.
F15 NISI actually looks interesting because it balances my rack and keeps a potential ING bingo alive on the O line. Quackle likes 4C IRIS for some reason I can't figure out; it also likes N6 SIN for 25 points -- probably because it scores points. But I can't understand how that helps me in the end because it closes down the board (blocking the O line): and next turn, Marty will likely start closing down the left side of the board. So I don't know how I get back into this game by playing N6 SIN.
>Marty_Gabriel: ABEU 4L BEAU +27 382
>ken_Rubin: ACIRRSS J6 ....S +35 316
#note Quackle likes N2 CRASS which actually makes sense to me because it scores 9 more points than J10 QUAYS, and turns over two more tiles than QUAYS, increasing the odds I draw one of the blanks. Also the ACIRRS leave with QUAYS isn't really bingo friendly on this board. I recognized this at the time but could not keep an open enough mind to generate CRASS as an option, which requires playing both of my S's, which doesn't feel right, even though it might very well be
>Marty_Gabriel: ?EITTU 1H pUTTIE +33 415
>ken_Rubin: ACDIRRS 15L SCAR +30 346
#note Quackle prefers 15L SARD which is likely because SARD prevents Marty from playing N14 ZA/ZA. There is not other explanation that makes sense because SCAR scores 3 more points than SARD, and the leave for SARD (CIR) is only marginally better for bingos than the leave for SCAR (DIR)
