>Chris_Cheng: AACENOT 8C OCTANE +22 22
#note Considered CANOE but preferred the consonant next to the DLs
>Chris_Sjoholm: EHKO D8 .HOKE +28 28
>Chris_Cheng: ?AIJLOV F6 JI.O +27 49
#note Not really any reason to not play 11D (K)OJI for 3 more points. Played this move too fast.
>Chris_Sjoholm: DIM E10 DIM +31 59
>Chris_Cheng: ?AILORV H1 VALORIz. +83 132
>Chris_Sjoholm: EGRW 13C GREW +38 97
>Chris_Cheng: BCEFIWZ G2 FEW +23 155
#note Made the blockiest play possible of G2 FEW even though the hooks to VALORIzE and OCTANE are basically staying open until they are used. Playing this actually might be a strategical error with that in mind. In terms of equity though, B(A)IZE and FEW are close. Definitely like FEW over I2 WIFE to keep a vowel and avoid opening a 7s lane.
>Chris_Sjoholm: AEEG 5H .AGEE +12 109

>Chris_Sjoholm: AEOT 1K A.OTE +42 151
>Chris_Cheng: ABCEILS 3J CE.BA +18 221
#note I am making an S hook but it is kind of risky only up 50 and with 3 more unseen. Quackle likes fishing plays, but except for maybe C7 B(O)A I think they are all kind of weak - better to just keep scoring. CE(I)BA does pretty well in sim.

>Chris_Sjoholm: INP 15A NIP +32 206
>Chris_Cheng: EEILNNT 2N EN +12 276
#note Wanted to block the S hook I made earlier but in hindsight I don't know why I didn't seriously consider the damage an X bomb at 10I would inflict.
>Chris_Sjoholm: OX 10I OX +55 261
>Chris_Cheng: EILNTTY 8J LINTY +19 295
#note If only I knew/could find 6s... though LENITIES is a high prob 8. Ouch
>Chris_Sjoholm: OT F12 O.T +13 274
>Chris_Cheng: AIILRTU M8 .ITULAR +16 311
>Chris_Sjoholm: SS C7 S. +3 277
#note Post-game Chris confirmed he had 2 S's on this turn
>Chris_Cheng: DGILMUV 11G VUM +16 327
#note I pretty much have to accept the fact that a bingo is coming. No useful way to deal with the opening the S drop made. Spent a while on thie turn and ended up settiling on getting rid of the worst two tiles on the rack and taking on the challenge of likely having to come back from a 40 point deficit.
>Chris_Sjoholm: ?AENRST B1 STeRANE +68 345
#note sooooo TITULAR takes an S
>Chris_Cheng: ADEGILN A7 DEALING +84 411
#note This is my most frustrating turn of the game and maybe the whole tournament for a few reasons. Firstly, I was initially under the impression that none of the 7s with this rack would play (also saw DANGLIER & DRAGLINE with the R - and there is also DEARLING# - but none of them play).
So then I considered what scoring plays Chris threatened, and I saw stuff bottom right like HOU(R)S or FOU(R)S, but also plays in column A like A5 FORD or A7 PROF (I didn't see the two bingoes that played in column A that were unseen and possibly available)
I decided that a blocking play such as N12 AGED was likely enough to lose anyways that I should just try something, which is when I realised NWL18 has some additional words that NWL20 doesn't that were expurgated.
I was either going to try LES or DES, and despite knowing LEZ as an expurgated word, I decided LES was somehow less likely to be valid. So, without hesitation I laid down DEALING from A7 making DES*. And Chris held but didn't challenge and I got away with it.
I think I was confusing DES* and the Collins word DEG#

#note 7J FOU - may have found it if not for time pressure
