>Arie_Sinke: ALNQTTZ 8G QAT +24 24
#note Best.
>Lou_Cornelis: DEXY 9H DEXY +22 22
>Arie_Sinke: CLNSTVZ -CLNTV +0 24
#note I thought there was some merit to keeping the Z with the S here - this board is not that open and the Z has scoring potential. Sim has a number of exchanges close but this leave seems a tiny bit better than the alternatives.
>Lou_Cornelis: DORW K5 WORD. +24 46
>Arie_Sinke: EINSSWZ L1 WINZES +51 75
#note It pays to spend the S for four points here.
>Lou_Cornelis: AET M3 EAT +27 73
>Arie_Sinke: BDENSTU N5 SUBTEND +71 146
#note The other position of SUBTEND (10B) scores 2 less without giving any clear positional advantage.
>Lou_Cornelis: EIR O8 IRE +19 92
>Arie_Sinke: EHILOPY 1L .HEY +39 185
#note Best for points.
>Lou_Cornelis: OPRU 11J PROU. +16 108
>Arie_Sinke: AEILOPT J6 PO +23 208
#note I missed a nine here - PETIOLA(TE) plays at I1 for 63. This is my best non-bingo.
>Lou_Cornelis: IJK L10 K.JI +30 138
>Arie_Sinke: AEEILRT 2N RE +13 221
#note I never know what to do in positions like this when I have good bingo tiles but no playable bingo. I wanted to just take some points and move on given how little potential the board has for bingoing without an S or a blank, but couldn't come up with any way to do that. Quackle generates ARIETTE I3 for 19, which looks like my best play. That and one-tile fishes like EPOS 6I for 6 do best in the sim, and attempting to compromise between the two with a play like RE gives me the worst of both worlds and sims a bit back.
>Lou_Cornelis: GLOV 10F VLOG +24 162
>Arie_Sinke: ?AEGILT 14F GELATIs +78 299
>Lou_Cornelis: EIMST 15G MITES +37 199
>Arie_Sinke: ABGHMNO 12F ABMHO +19 318
#note This play makes the board almost completely dead and makes comebacks nearly impossible - Lou would have to either set something up or get an unlikely 8 ending in I to WINZES or a 9 on row 3. Some sevens ending with IA also play on row 11, but the plan is to block those soon. That being said, it would probably be better just to take the extra points with OGHAM 13C for 41.
>Lou_Cornelis: ACLO I3 COLA +15 214
>Arie_Sinke: GILNNTV 4H V.G +11 329
#note This is an extremely defensive play. I'm not out of the woods yet, though, because I haven't blocked sevens ending in IA at 11B.
>Lou_Cornelis: ADER 13K A.RED +15 229
>Arie_Sinke: ILNNNST 11E LI +10 339
#note With 11 in the bag I have finally reached a point where bingos are 100% impossible without a setup.
>Lou_Cornelis: AFO 11C FO..A +13 242
>Arie_Sinke: ANNNSTU 12B NAN +15 354
#note I actually block more with NOUN D10 than with NAN. Lots of nines play through ON.
>Lou_Cornelis: ?IINORU D9 IR.. +4 246
>Arie_Sinke: ACENSTU 13A CUTE +31 385
#note Might as well take the points; fishing isn't going to work and blocking isn't worth it.
>Lou_Cornelis: ?EFIINO E5 FIENd +15 261
>Arie_Sinke: ANSU 7B USN.A +6 391
#note Somehow I only found my lowest scoring out - UNAIS and SNAFU are better.
>Arie_Sinke: (OI) +4 395
