>Arie_Sinke: DIINOTU 8G DUI +8 8
#note For the second time in one morning, I open with a three for eight points leaving INOT. This time it seems to be the right choice.
>Jason_Li: AEHRTUU J5 HAUTEUR +69 69
#note Sims says it's very close between this and taking the points at 7I, a stylistic choice.
>Arie_Sinke: EGINOST 11D GENITO.S +86 94
#note Only bingo.
>Jason_Li: ACEINTU 9A TUNICAE +65 134
>Arie_Sinke: BDEGRVY K2 GYVED +39 133
#note This scores enough to be worth it.
>Jason_Li: EFLLMOR A4 MERLO. +33 167
#note FLORE(T)
>Arie_Sinke: BDGLOOR 12A BLOOD +31 164
#note This looks best; MOBLOG 4A for 22 is an interesting but slightly worse choice that I did not see.
>Jason_Li: ACFLNQS D8 Q. +21 188
#note B8 S(U)Q. The S is not worth that much.
>Arie_Sinke: AGJNPRS 2H JAG. +17 181
#note I didn't love this play but thought it was an approrpiate compromise. Two very different plays sim a bit ahead - JAY 3I for 21, leaving the very consonant heavy GNPRS, and SPA 10A for 32, spending the S and keeping the very awkward J, which doesn't seem to go well with the board. SPA is the sim winner, so I guess the points are enough to make it worth it.
>Jason_Li: ACFKLNS A12 .ACK +36 224
#note This sims slightly behind 9F F(E)CK which I did consider.
>Arie_Sinke: NPRRSST I1 P.RTS +14 195
#note SNIP I6 for 24 wins the sim by a small margin. RRST is awkwardly consonant heavy but it scores 10 extra points, which is too much to turn down.
>Jason_Li: FILLNOS E5 FOLI. +31 255
#note Sets up an X spot but he didn't have it last turn surely.
>Arie_Sinke: ANORRSX F4 RAX +56 251
#note Lucky to get bailed out by the X here.
>Jason_Li: HILNRSY H11 .HIRL +36 291
>Arie_Sinke: INOORST G5 NO +18 269
#note Jason successfully simultaneous blocked TORSION 12H and CROSTINO 14A. Quackle wants me to play NOO L5 here - for a minor sacrifice in score I set up a new line, which makes me about 15% more likely to bingo next turn. It's not a huge difference.
>Jason_Li: EEIINSY L1 EYE +29 320
#note 4K (V)EINY. This has obvious drawbacks.
>Arie_Sinke: IOORSTW 4K .ROW +34 303
#note This is a highly aggressive choice, and Quackle doesn't love it, preferrince the simple WOO M3 for 30, which doesn't really add any potential to the board. I reasoned that I was behind and needed to inject some volatility into the game.
>Jason_Li: AEEIINS O1 ANISE +30 350
>Arie_Sinke: AINOSTT M4 .STINATO +60 363
#note This is a better play than STRONTIA 14F for 62 for obvious defensive reasons.
>Jason_Li: DEEIIWZ 14F WI.ED +21 371
#note Not in great shape, I felt I needed to draw both blanks to potentially have a shot so I chose to play off 4 tiles. Sim winner (R)EZ would likely have lost but sim runner-up 14F WI(R)E would've made things more interesting.
>Arie_Sinke: AABEFMN 15J AMEBAN +36 399
#note It looks like I win 62.5% of the time with this play (I lose when I draw the P, V, or Z.) Any other option will lose a few more endgames.
>Jason_Li: ??EIPVZ - +0 371
#note No wins so I make a reluctant challenge as I am not completely sure AMEBAN is valid.
>Arie_Sinke: EF 14N FE +22 421
>Arie_Sinke: (EIPVZ??) +38 459
