>Arie_Sinke: GINOOOT 8G GOO +8 8
#note This is probably my best nonzero scoring play, but it does look like it's better to exchange here. GINT, GINOT, and GIN are powerful leaves that bingo often enough (10-15% more often than I do after GOO) for the point sacrifice to be worth it. It's counterintuitve to give up 8 points to keep a generally poor tile like the G, but that does seem to be called for here.
>Craig_Rowland: EHWW 7H WHEW +31 31
>Arie_Sinke: ?INOTUU 6F UNTO +18 26
#note Quackle has this play winning the sim by a meaningful margin over the next best choice. I guess when none of the leaves are anything to write home about it pays to take a few extra points.
>Craig_Rowland: MNO K5 MO.N +18 49
>Arie_Sinke: ?AILPUZ L4 ZIP +36 62
#note This looks write. Playing with PUNTO scores one point less.
>Craig_Rowland: ?EHOPRT E6 PROpHET +79 128
>Arie_Sinke: ?AAELOU M4 ALAE +26 88
#note First missed bingo of the tournament - talked myself out of AUrEOLA, which plays in two places, as well as AUrEOLAE. I convinced myself that it was AREOLE/AREOLA/AUREOLE. Because the AUrEOLA plays are defensively weak this is only a 10 point equity error.
>Craig_Rowland: AFIQR D11 FAQIR +45 173
>Arie_Sinke: ?CDGIOU 15A GOU.D +21 109
#note Quackle wants me to play at N2 with something like DUG; apparently it thinks that the R spot is my friend here. I just can't get myself into the frame of mind where I think it's reasonable to leave a spot like that open, even for a turn with a deficit, and frankly I think Quackle is probably wrong. GOURD is good for score and leave static evaluation too.
>Craig_Rowland: AIJ B12 JIA. +22 195
>Arie_Sinke: ?CIIISS N2 CIS +22 131
#note I am beginning to feel growing frustration with my racks - IS F10 for 17 sims a smidgeon better to keep that extra consonant to balance out the leave, even at the expense of five points.
>Craig_Rowland: AANT F10 ANTA +22 217
>Arie_Sinke: ?IIISTY 2M I.Y +8 139
#note TIYIN G2 is nice to bail out most of my worst tiles - but my play has the advantage of setting up a spot that's hard to block profitably. The plays sim close but ICY looks slightly better.
>Craig_Rowland: BO 1L BO +9 226
>Arie_Sinke: ?ISSTUY G8 .UYS +25 164
#note TISSUeY is available for 63 at N7 - but it pays to pass on the bingo here by a significant margin.
>Craig_Rowland: AFR L8 ARF +10 236
>Arie_Sinke: ?AINRST N6 STRAINs +70 234
#note I finally get a rack so good I can't fail to bingo, even on a fairly tight board. This looks best - it makes overlap responses on the triple very difficult.
>Craig_Rowland: EEEEEEE -EEEE +0 236
>Arie_Sinke: CGIMORT 8A MICR. +30 264
#note This is the highest scoring option availble to me, but it may be better to play TRIGO instead for 24 instead of 30. The outcome of the game will likely be determined by non-bingo scoring and CMO is a lot better for that than GOT. There are a lot of unseen Es (9 at this point) and it is likely that both of usd will be slowed down by an excess of them soon, which makes bingoing even less likely. I could also play MY O1 for 21 and leave TRIGO as a backup plan - Quackle likes that but I'm not sure I agree. Quackle has MICRO and TRIGO simming about equally about 2-3 points back.
>Craig_Rowland: EX O8 EX +42 278
>Arie_Sinke: BEEGLOT 12H BOLETE. +22 286
#note With so many unseen Es, I thought BOLETEs would be better than GOBLETs for the same score in the same spot. Quackle doesn't seem to fully agree, putting GOBLETs ahead by a tiny margin. I guess the G is a poor tile in almost any situation (excpet turn one of this game.)
>Craig_Rowland: KLV I11 V.LK +12 290
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEEGL 14I .EELED +26 312
#note I didn't know KEELAGE was a word, but KEELED sims a bit better anyhow - I guess KEELAGE sets up too much.
>Craig_Rowland: EENRSTV 15G NEST +26 316
>Arie_Sinke: ADDEGRU 15M DAD +21 333
#note It's technically better to play DEMUR A6 for 8 first and go out next turn with DAG 15M. After DAD (or DAG) Craig can block my outs with VIM A6 and threaten to go out with ANILE 13G - my optimal play would be to sacrifice a few points to block that. After DEMUR I go out in two places (DAG 15M and GADI B5).
>Craig_Rowland: EIINV C4 VINI. +11 327
