#note this was frustrating. I missed GERB(I)L which seems like the play I would make. Quackle prefers fishing again with (E)RG or B(E)RG. Either way, this seems like a mistake #findingsmall

#note tough to decide between this fishy play or something like K1 BATES. Quackle thinks BA(L)M to really double down on the NIGGLERS spot is a good idea as well. BA(K)ED not bad either. I liked how this complicated things by blocking the K bailouts but also fished. #questionable

#note now, the same idea is potentially completely ridiculous and bad. I have to give up here and play JETES or JEES, the latter of which I missed. This is the problem with playing B(A)D last turn. One of the reasons is that I will have K column plays to score next turn, and I should play those. But I forwent those last turn. So it's sort of a paradox, and very human to try and continue in the same vein as last turn. But now, I'm sacrificing far more by not taking the points. This play is very commital and I'm basically deciding to never play on the K column unless Lou plays a bingo elsewhere or plays on the 15 row. Quackle hates this because it mainly assumes I will use the K column when I miss. The point is that when I miss, I'm more and more screwed by not scoring. #strategymedium

>JoshuaSokol: AAEMPST D1 PA.MATES +82 290
>JoshuaSokol: AAEMPST -- -82 208
#note I was absolutely positive this was a word, and somewhat surprised when Lou challenged. When it came back bad, completely shellshocked. Seems this is just a misspelling of PALMITATE, potentially found on some wellness product. I had probably come across PALMATE and PALMATED, and seen PALMATE elsewhere than in my studies, which caused this particular instance of confusion.
>LouCornelis: ?AERSTT O8 .STREATs +74 289
>JoshuaSokol: AAEMPST 4B TEAM +25 233
#note no idea, I feel like he'll block this, but then maybe I can make something happen with NIGGLERS or the s in ESTREATS or the D in NODULE. Quackle likes fishing with MATES (hey, me too apparently) and playing 9M PA(S). #questionable
>LouCornelis: EIV 5A VIE +14 303
>JoshuaSokol: ADOPQSS 9D QAD.S +23 256
#note this or Q(I)S. Can't play SUQ M7 because long-term that blocks more. QIS bingos more but QADIS makes it easier to stay within range when I don't bingo? Unsure here #questionable

#note I need to hit in two spots (15 row and LMN rows) with the most draws. This hits

APPOSER(s) SAPROPE(L)
ESPARTO and PASTORE(D)
AIRPOST(s) and PAROTI(D)S
ROSEHIP(s) and SPHEROI(D)
STROPHE and POTSHER(D)
PROSTIE(s) and RIPOSTE(D)
PROPOSE(s) and PROPOSE(D)
STOOPER and TORPE(D)OS
STOPPER and STROPPE(D)
PHAROSE(S) and RHAPSO(D)E

E8 Y(A)WP hits

ERASION(s) and ANEROI(D)S
PERSONA(s) and PERSONA(L)
ROPINES(s) and PRISONE(D)
SOPRANI and PONIAR(D)S
SANTOOR and TORNA(D)OS
IONISER(s) and RESINOI(D)
POSTERN(s) and PORTEN(D)S

E8 W(A)RY hits pretty much nothing. Haven't generated any other plays to analyze, other than two-tile plays which might not score enough.

since NORS hits 4 separate things with an I draw, by far the most likely, and OPRS hits only 3, it seems like both plays hit 15 draws. I would like someone to confirm my math there, because I could have screwed something up. With the play of VICED after VIE, I can maybe infer that he is more likely than average to have another I, but not sure I can really infer much of anything. Seems this would be the play for spread at the very least.

>LouCornelis: HIIOPTW 10B WHIT +31 367
#note he mistracked an A, thought I had EIOPRRS I think. Didn't have enough time to check tracking and everything, although he could have afforded to go a few minutes over to block my bingos. This was a bad practical choice by Lou I think, very lucky he didn't come to the right conclusion.

#note when I won this game, I figured it was time to assume I could win the tournament, despite how horribly I'd been playing.
