#note Exchanging is clearly called for here.
>Michael_Fagen: EKX 8G KEX +28 28
>Arie_Sinke: EORSTTU 7H TOUTERS +71 71
#note Best bingo.
>Michael_Fagen: AIMN 6J MINA +28 56
>Arie_Sinke: DEELRVZ 5I REZ +53 124
#note Best by far.
>Michael_Fagen: AJW 9F JAW +27 83
>Arie_Sinke: CDEFLNV M5 C..VED +13 137
#note This is probably fine. I could also consider snagging a few extra points with VELAR M3 for 16. CDFN could improve and it really isn't that much worse than what I'm keeping with CARVED. The plays sim close.
>Michael_Fagen: CFOO 10D COOF +32 115
>Arie_Sinke: DFGILNT L9 FIND +24 161
#note This play is probably fine. It scores enough to be worth it. Fishier plays like DEFT 9L get a lot of love from Quackle.
>Michael_Fagen: I K5 ...I +13 128
>Arie_Sinke: EGLLTUY D10 .UTELY +30 191
#note I don't necessarily want to be creating a lot of lines for eights after Michael's one tile fish, but this scores so much more than anything else that I have to play it.
>Michael_Fagen: ?GIRSTU 13I GUTSIeR +77 205
>Arie_Sinke: AAEGLNS 6B GALENAS +71 262
#note Or ANLAGES.
>Michael_Fagen: HLOUY O10 HOU.LY +39 244
>Arie_Sinke: BEEGLQT 15A GLE. +24 286
#note I reasoned that playing QAT was pointless here because there are lots of draws that can bail out the Q. That being said, there are better plays than GLEY here that simply score more and shed the clunky B - BETEL 5C for 28 and GETABLE C3 for 28 look a bit better here. Keeping the B will often yield BIHOURLY, though, so I'm kind of surprised GLEY doesn't sim better.

#note Or INTENDER.

>Arie_Sinke: ABDMOPT 11C D.MB +38 424
#note I didn't see APLOMB 14B, but it doesn't look worth it - it empties the bag and costs me a lot of spread when Michael bingos out, and couild even lose to some bingos. After DUMB there are still some rare bingos that I could lose to (dIAPHONY 15H with some draws, for instance) so it probably pays to play DOPA 14H to obstruct some bingos and leave scoring tiles for next turn.
>Michael_Fagen: ANW H1 AN.W +33 345

#note Best endgame.
>Michael_Fagen: ?AIOPR 15G APO +35 380
>Arie_Sinke: ART 5C .AT +30 487
#note Didn't realize how many points Michael can go out for with sIR/sRI, it's better to go out right away with RAT 5E for 14.
