>Arie_Sinke: ADDINPU 8G UNPAID +22 22
#note Looks best.
>Noah_Kalus: EEMOU L3 MEOUE. +18 18
>Arie_Sinke: DEELOTU M2 LUDE +23 45
#note Noah had played OIDIUM L6 before picking it up and playing MEOUED, so I knew he had a partial rack of II. That knowledge makes LUDE a better play - Noah is less likely than usual to have the front E hook, and if he does have it, he probably has a vowel heavy rack and is less likely to be able to use it profitably. With a partial rack of II specified LUDE wins a sim.
>Noah_Kalus: BDI N1 BID +22 40
>Arie_Sinke: EEINOOT O1 OE +21 66
#note Missed OPTIONEE (not great) - it can be hard to look for bingos with these vowel heavy racks.
>Noah_Kalus: AHO 9G HAO +27 67
>Arie_Sinke: EIINOOT 10I OI +9 75
#note Fishing with EINOT worked out great for me last turn, so I figured I'd do it again. This sims about even with TOONIE 10I, which I would never play.
>Noah_Kalus: AAIIIII -III +0 67
>Arie_Sinke: EFIKNOT K10 KIF +27 102
#note This looks okay, wins a sim.
>Noah_Kalus: J 5K J.. +20 87
>Arie_Sinke: EIINOTU 12K .OU +12 114
#note I figured that I should have another shot at fishing with a 3 vowel two consonant leave, given how well it worked out for me the last two times. I had noted that the pool was becoming quite consonant heavy, which meant that leaves like EIINT could be considered better than usual. Quackle suggests ETUI L12 (which seems a bit aggressive after a play that may have been a one tile fish) and UNFIT 12I, leaving EIO, which is a better leave than usual given the consonant heavy pool.
>Noah_Kalus: ?GINRST N5 STRINGy +74 161
>Arie_Sinke: ACEIINT O11 ACTIN +31 145
#note This sims comparably with ACINI - EI is a better leave than usual here because of the consonant heavy pool. ACINI is still probably a bit better.
>Noah_Kalus: AET O7 ETA +19 180
>Arie_Sinke: ?EEILSV 11C VELItES +74 219
#note I wasn't keen on the 75 point bingos that left a vowel at H13, but this isn't much better - sets up the X to play for 52, and allows plays down to the triple from the E. Q suggests VEILErS.
>Noah_Kalus: AHN 10D NAH +31 211
>Arie_Sinke: BEGORTT 12D BET +29 248
#note This is best for the points.
>Noah_Kalus: ERVY H11 .VERY +45 256
>Arie_Sinke: AEGORTW N13 EGO +18 266
#note I can't recall what motivated me to make this play - it doesn't seem that great. I think I thought QI might be a big deal and that it would pay to block that? I was feeling very in control at this point because I was conscious that there was an extreme dearth of vowels and I wasn't sure that Noah was paying attention to that, so I wanted to limit variance and deaden the board. RAGWORT 14C looks good.
>Noah_Kalus: AEILQRT C11 .AIR +20 276
>Arie_Sinke: AAERTWW B13 TAW +18 284
#note I will usually get WE for 36 after this play. If Noah blocks he'll have to use a vowel, and he only has 5 of them out of 24 unseen tiles. I like this play and so does Quackle.
>Noah_Kalus: DFIN 7D FIND +19 295
>Arie_Sinke: ACEERWX A14 WE +36 320
#note Just biding my time here. I score a lot and retain vowels. I really don't want to get the Q here, that could cost me.
>Noah_Kalus: LLMOPQR E5 PR.M +16 311
>Arie_Sinke: ACELORX 13H .X +17 337
#note This wins the sim by far. I can't take the chance of drawing the Q here, and Noah clearly didn't have it when he played PRIM, so a one tile play is called for.
>Noah_Kalus: GR M11 R.G +18 329
>Arie_Sinke: ACELORS 15D CALO.ERS +66 403
#note Questionable. I could lose by drawing the Q. Some of the endgames would be far from easy for Noah, though. Perhaps I should pass? It's hard for me to lose after passing. Or maybe play some insane phoney just for fun.
>Noah_Kalus: LNOQSTZ - +0 329
#note Noah challenged CALOYERS.
