#note The sim thinks that WALK is a better play by a razor thin margin. The commentators on the stream liked it as well. I didn't want to give up that many points to keep a leave like AIT, which isn't even that great.
>Max_Panitch: ??CDIIO H8 .rIpODIC +80 80
>Arie_Sinke: ADEELMW 13C MEWLE. +26 54
#note Lots of plays are fairly close here. With a deficit, I want to create floaters. Putting that wide open E in the middle of the board is helpful for me. Quackle's top choice is MAW 9K, which doesn't do much for me unless I draw an S.
>Max_Panitch: EMOW 12A MEOW +38 118
>Arie_Sinke: ADFRSTV 11B DRAFT +32 86
#note This looks fine.
>Max_Panitch: INU A12 .UNI +18 136
>Arie_Sinke: EILNNSV 12G N.NLIVES +74 160
#note Only bingo.
>Max_Panitch: FH M11 F.H +18 154
>Arie_Sinke: AAGRSTZ M3 GAZARS +44 204
#note Quackle likes ZAS N10 by an enormous margin over anything else, which suggests that I may be undervaluing the S here. At any rate I should definitely prefer ZAGS N10 over GAZARS - blocking the C with a lead after Max's fish is important. This is not a particularly good play, and I made it too quickly.
>Max_Panitch: EEINNPT F4 PENITEN. +64 218
>Arie_Sinke: BDGILTY 5I GLIT.Y +38 242
#note Best by far.
>Max_Panitch: Q K11 Q. +22 240
>Arie_Sinke: BDEIJTU E3 JUBE +40 282
#note Best by far.
>Max_Panitch: OY D4 YO +31 271
>Arie_Sinke: DHIIPST 14J HIPS +27 309
#note I really wanted to block the C here, and was willing to sacrifice equity to do it. Quackle thinks this is a mistake and that I should just take the equity with something like TIDY or PITY at N2 and hope that Max can't respond with anything particularly good at O1. I chose HIPS over PISH because it just blocked that much more by putting the H further to the left. Ultimately, I don't think I can justify the play. The score is too close and Max doesn't need to bingo to win, so equity is important.
>Max_Panitch: DOX N2 DOX. +42 313
>Arie_Sinke: ADEINTV L3 AT. +30 339
#note This wins a sim over DATE O1 and other alternatives. I almost assure myself that I can use the O1 spot (unless Max has something with AGOG) while not sacrificing many points. I have the last N and have DENI ready to go, VENA if I draw an A.
>Max_Panitch: AERT 15H .RATE +20 333
>Arie_Sinke: CDEINUV O1 DENI +38 377
#note It probably pays to take the spot now before Max draws a G and plays something with AGOG. Quackle thinks this play is very close to VUG I3 for 11.
>Max_Panitch: ORU 6B ROU.. +13 346
>Arie_Sinke: AABCOUV B5 B.AVO +10 387
#note I can't lose, but I wasn't 100% certain that there wasn't anything out through the R, so I thought it would be a good idea to block just in case. VOCAB 2H is good for equity and is the best play.
>Max_Panitch: AEEGOOR 8A O.ER +24 370
>Arie_Sinke: ACERSU N10 CA.E +22 409
#note URASE N9 is best, threatening to go out with an unblockable SIC 7E.
>Max_Panitch: AEGO A3 GOA +9 379
>Arie_Sinke: RSU I3 RU.S +6 415
#note It's better not to go out here (partiuclarly since Max was down to one second) but even without the time factor, SIR 7E for18 is one point better.
