>Chloe_Fatsis: AILNSTV H4 VITAL +24 24
#note Looks like just LAV is a bit better
>Arie_Sinke: AADEFQX I5 FAX +45 45
#note I couldn't decide whether to play FAX or QAT 6F for 32. I ultimately reasoned that 13 points was too many to turn down, and didn't like that there was no 40+ scoring spot for the X on the board after QAT. Sim suggests that I should go with my gut and play QAT by a margin of about 4 points. I guess the Q is that bad here.
>Chloe_Fatsis: EHNNSSU J2 HUNS +21 45
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEOQT 3I Q.OTE +48 93
#note I got rewarded for making the wrong play here. QUOTE looks best, better than QUOTED.
>Chloe_Fatsis: EEENNRS N2 ERNE +23 68
>Arie_Sinke: AADEILO O4 ALODIA +29 122
#note Best by far.
>Chloe_Fatsis: AEENOSW G7 WAE +30 98
>Arie_Sinke: DEIOPSZ 1E PIEZOS +59 181
#note AS: This is phoney. I played it innocently, believing that it was good. I think I was confusing it with ZINCOS, the other newish 5 letter Z word that looks like it might not take an S but does. ZIPS is the low risk play here.
CF: Apparently PIEZO doesn't take an S, need to challenge this
>Chloe_Fatsis: AEJNOOS L1 JO.A +38 136
>Arie_Sinke: DEEEILR 2B RILED +31 212
#note The isn't great. At no point did it occur to either of us that RILED takes a front A hook for ARILED. RELIED and REELED/LEERED look a bit better despite opening the triple on accout of this hook that I was blind to.
>Chloe_Fatsis: DENOSUY J7 YOU +23 159
>Arie_Sinke: EEGOSTU M5 TOGUE +12 224
#note For the second consecutive turn, I am blind to a front hook. This time it's TERNE. JUTE 1L is the play. I prefered this to the slightly higher scoring placement of TOGUE (N9) because I thought it was defensive. Quackle thinks I'm crazy.
>Chloe_Fatsis: DEHINST 1L .ETS +38 197
#note at this point I knew he'd missed the 1L spot since he had JUTE there last turn, so no need to cash in on that spot now. The problem was I didn't see anything else that was super inspiring. quackle likes C1 H(I)D by a few points, it blocks some scoring options for him, keeps the T for 1L, and keeps a great leave, bingoing about 2/3 next turn.
>Arie_Sinke: AEIOPST F8 ATOPIES +68 292
#note Obviously ATOPIES with ARILED is the play. I correctly surmised that this was better than the other positions of ATOPIES/OPIATES that slot tiles in 3x3s.
>Chloe_Fatsis: ACDHIIN 13A CHAIN.D +30 227
#note wow had no idea RILED took a front A! All the best plays are there, with CANID looking best, 3 Ns out so it's fine to play one here. CHAINED is not bad and does best on win%, but I think
>Arie_Sinke: ?EGLNTW D8 ToWEL.NG +78 370
#note TWaNGLE N9 scores 11 more but is obviously too dangerous here. My play wins a sim by a small margin. I can't do anything about the C or ARILED but I can avoid opening up any new threats. I overscored this by 2.
>Chloe_Fatsis: ?AFIINR 3C FIR +29 256
#note thought I was making up FAIRING, that plays at A1 or L9. I didn't want to close anything so played here, Q prefers FIN by a bit which I don't understand since 3 Rs out vs 1 N
>Arie_Sinke: BCKMRVY A13 .RY +24 394
#note Quackle is almost useless here. It wants me to exchange or play for points, which would lose to any 3x3. CRY blocks all 3x3s, but unfortunatley it leaves seven in the bag, so it could lose to two consecutive bingos by Chloe. BYRE 11A may win 100% of the time - it obstructs all 3x3s while only leaving 7 in the bag.
>Chloe_Fatsis: ?AEINNO K8 ENAtION +66 322
#note obviously AEONIAN at A2, but aside from that I think AEONIAN looks good at L9, making more lanes that will be hard for him to block. Pool sucks so unlikely to bingo next turn anyway, but gotta try
>Arie_Sinke: BCIKMRV 13I BR.CK +32 426
#note I looked in vain for an out in two here and finally resigned myself to allowing Chloe to go out and get a lot of points from my V. There was an out in two available - VICoMTE 9A retains BRK, which will always go out somewhere, and is a better endgame play than BROCK by 7 points. BROCK is second best and the best non-out-in-two.
>Chloe_Fatsis: BDEGMRU C6 DRUM +19 341
#note CF: we both missed E4 PERV! Gotta play BE at 4D to block
AS: This is her best play, threatening to go out for a lot of points in two places while blocking VIM.
>Arie_Sinke: IMV I9 MI +15 441
#note I have to play this and accept being stuck with the V - anything else gives up too many points and she just goes out anyhow.
>Chloe_Fatsis: BEG 14A .E +14 355
>Arie_Sinke: V - +0 441
#note Chloe and I both missed PERV. My first pass was an error because PERV was available. My second pass was not an error because PERV was no longer available at that point.
