>Arie_Sinke: ?ELNRTY 8B ELYTRoN +76 76
#note Several options are available. sTERNLY and iNERTLY don't put vowels next to DLS squares so they look slightly better. I believe I quit looking once I spotted ELYTRoN.
>Karl_Higby: AAEGNRU 7F AGUE +16 16
#note RUNAGATE is available here.
>Arie_Sinke: BDILLSW D3 WILDL. +26 102
#note This looks best.
>Karl_Higby: AAEFINR 6F FA +30 46
>Arie_Sinke: ABBDGOS C2 BOB +28 130
#note BOG and GOB in the same spot sim a bit better. It illustrates how poor the G is that it pays to give up 2 or 3 points to keep a B instead of a G.
>Karl_Higby: AEINORT E8 .ENTORIA +66 112
>Arie_Sinke: AADEGSU 15C AD.GES +30 160
#note Here I prioritize points and defense over leave. It's a reasonable option but there are two plays that sim a bit better - AGUED 15E (also taking the spot while keeping AAS instead of AU and scoring 9 less) and AGUED J3 (scoring only 16, leaving the spot, keeping AS, which is far better, and elegantly forming the same word twice.) My play is only about 1.5 points behind the higher scoring AGUED in the sim.
>Karl_Higby: EIIOQRU 10B QUI. +33 145
#note Maybe INQUIRE instead for a few more points.
>Arie_Sinke: AEENOUU B10 .UEUE +28 188
#note Clearly best.
>Karl_Higby: AEIMORR 14H ARMOIRE +82 227
>Arie_Sinke: AEKNOTV B2 AVO +34 222
#note VOLK 5B for 30 looks like a slightly better play due to the better AENT leave.
>Karl_Higby: FHIINRS N8 FINISH.R +66 293
>Arie_Sinke: EEHKNOT O6 KHET +50 272
#note I missed KENTE O4, which scores 57 and looks like a significant improvement.
>Karl_Higby: AAEGIOX A1 AGA +28 321
#note Looks best, no way to score well with the X here.
>Arie_Sinke: ILNOTTW D12 WOL. +30 302
#note 12H WITTOLS looks a bit better - leaves like INTT bingo around 5% more often than WITTOLS does but they are very clunky when they miss the bingo - plays like TOW F10 are similar - ILNT can be a poor late game rack when bingos don't occur. I probably need to bingo to win though; without floating vowels for eights I might prefer a one tile leave like the lone N to a more "developed' leave like ILNT or INTT. Two Ss and a blank out so turnover is okay here.
>Karl_Higby: ?EINOPX 6A OXI. +28 349
>Arie_Sinke: EIJNNTZ M9 ZIT +48 350
#note Best by far.
>Karl_Higby: ?AEENPP 13L PE. +24 373
#note Looks best, there are no bingos here.
>Arie_Sinke: CEIJNNV I2 EVINC. +15 365
#note This looks like the best I can do here. I only win if I can score well with the J and prevent Karl from bingoing, or maybe get a lucky bingo myself. With EVINCE I essentially limit Karl to eights and hope that I draw into something that scores with the J.
>Karl_Higby: ?ADENPT 4H P.NnATED +80 453
>Arie_Sinke: CJNORSY 2I .NJOYS +36 401
#note This is my best option by far, scoring as well as possible and blocking Karl's plays of DEMOTES and EnDMOST.
>Karl_Higby: DEMOST 1L DOES +33 486
#note Best option.
>Arie_Sinke: CR L4 .RC +5 406
#note Best out.
