>John_Stardom: BEEGI 8D BEIGE +22 22
>Arie_Sinke: ACNNOTU F3 COUNT.AN +64 64
#note Or CONTINUA; I liked creating a second S hook more than I liked creating an L hook.
>John_Stardom: DFII D8 .IFID +22 44
>Arie_Sinke: AELSVVX 5E V.LVA +22 86
#note Not a great play; I forgot that BIFIDA is a word. VALVE 13C forming BIFIDA is the sim winner. VULVAE also sims better than my play, presumably because it's a great X setup, but I should be taking the 36 points with VALVE here if I can remember BIFIDA.
>John_Stardom: AFNW E11 FAWN +33 77
>Arie_Sinke: AAEEHSX 15A HEXES +59 145
#note Looks right to take the points here.
>John_Stardom: LNPT I3 PL.NT +11 88
>Arie_Sinke: AAAEIQS C9 QI +47 192
#note Correct to take the points here, though AWA 13D sims within 5 points despite scoring only 18.
>John_Stardom: OOOOOOO -OOOOO +0 88
>Arie_Sinke: AAAEOSU 14B AEO. +23 215
#note Taking the points is again worth it; this also blocks which is an additional bonus.
>John_Stardom: COR 3C CRO. +16 104
>Arie_Sinke: AAAABSU J2 BAAS +30 245
#note For the fourth consecutive turn, I make a play that retains a poor vowel heavy leave but is nonetheless justified.
>John_Stardom: EHT 13A ETH +41 145
>Arie_Sinke: AAGRTUU A8 RUGAT. +24 269
#note Looks best, the E is clearly a threat here.
>John_Stardom: EZ 4I ..ZE +26 171
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEKMU M2 MUD +27 296
#note I really liked this play when I played it, but it may be excessively defensive. ADEEM in the same spot for 37 is available; I really don't care for the way it throws the board open with a 98 point lead and two blanks out. MAUD in the same spot scores two more and improves the leave, but after John plays through the M, there's a bingo line at O1, and I can't block that while continuing to score points.
>John_Stardom: IPU D1 PU.I +18 189
>Arie_Sinke: AEEIKNT 1D .EKIN +33 329
#note This looks best to me; KEEP 1A sims surprisingly well.
>John_Stardom: EGRY B5 GYRE +18 207
>Arie_Sinke: AEIIORT G7 A.IO +15 344
#note I finally get a chance to do something about the E in BEIGE, which has been annoying me for several turns. This is only a partial block, and it creates a spot for sevens beginning with S (while removing one for sevens beginning with most consonants) but it does optimize score and leave nicely.
>John_Stardom: AWY H10 WAY +19 226
>Arie_Sinke: EIORRRT I10 TIER +19 363
#note I almost played RITZ here - I reasoned that I am only likely to lose to two consecutive bingos, and by playing four tiles I force John to empty the bag if he bingos, giving me full knowledge of his last rack and potentially allowing me to block. TIER also limits immediate bingos to sevens with an S in positions 1-3 and eights through the E in LAZED.
>John_Stardom: JO N1 JO +26 252
>Arie_Sinke: ?DEOORR O1 OR +38 401
#note I decided that biding my time with this play was better than bingoing right away with REDROOt O2 for 82 (the best bingo), but didn't consider ODOR O1, which may be a better choice; bingoing next turn is still fairly probable but I net 13 extra points right now and make it harder for John to fish if he needs to.
>John_Stardom: LO F12 LO +11 263
>Arie_Sinke: ??DEMOR - +0 401
#note Weird situation where passing is a reasonable choice. John has bingos 50% of the time with the unseen tiles; I can force him to either pass back or bingo immediately. If he doesn't have a bingo, his best bet is probably to pass, forcing us to end the game with six consecutive passes and preserve the spread that he would lose by me bingoing out. If he does have a bingo, he might as well just play it, particularly if it's a defensive one like ENLISTED that doesn't give me anything better than what I already have. If John does pass back, I can probably infer that he doesn't have a bingo and just play my own bingo, or perhaps he could play the weird psychological game of passing even if he does have something, enticing me to play my bingo and allowing him to bingo out. I don't think either of us had enough time to evaluate the intricacy of this preendgame.
>John_Stardom: ILSST J8 LISTS +26 289
>Arie_Sinke: ??DEMOR 14I stORMED +70 471
#note Bad play, sMOlDER and sERfDOM score more; I believe I was low on time.
>Arie_Sinke: (DEN) +8 479
