#note Commentary by Noah (10/28/22)
>Carl: DEGOUV I3 VOGUED +24 24
>Noah: CDIILNP 4F CIP.LIN +28 46
#note This and DIP invert from static to sim.
>Carl: ?AIIOPS M4 SInOPIA +72 96
>Noah: DEEESTT 10D DETE.TES +63 109
>Carl: AFGHLOW 11J FOG +23 119
#note Idea here was to save big tiles for column N, I think. My initial reaction was HOW 11E, but this looked interesting. Sim likes FLOW/FLAW 11B, which score while keeping good-looking scoring tiles for the board.
>Noah: KNNRSTX E9 K.X +28 137
#note Played this quickly, N(E)XT and plays like RINK saving pretty solid X potential passed through my mind, but I was drawn to KEX, and used FOG's fishiness as perhaps a bit of a rationalization - KEX is quite an effective blocker. After hitting my clock (Carl's phone, to be precise), I thought about how Carl took a while to play FOG (I think this is accurate), which could maybe imply a weaker range
>Carl: AEHILOW N10 WHILE +51 170
#note Maybe WALIE instead? Sim prefers WHILE and WHOLE, though.
>Noah: AMNNRST O8 TRAM +31 168
#note Played this pretty quickly, lots of interesting looking options though. Sim seems to like this a bit over the other options.
>Carl: ?AAEIOY D9 O.EA +25 195
#note This is nice, clear best on static equity, but looks even better than that would suggest since it sets up a really juicy bingo line for Carl's leave.
>Noah: HLNNSST 12I NTH +18 186
>Carl: ?AAEIOY L3 A.OA +7 202
#note I suggested AYE in the postmortem, but I don't think I was thinking about the YOK spot. Sim likes AECIA - OY? just looks like it does better than EIY? on the next turn on average. AYE does pretty well too, maybe it was 2nd place? Not sure if it was M13 or N6.
>Noah: AAELNSS 15H ANLASES +86 272
>Carl: ?CEEIIY C7 ICY +27 229
>Noah: BBFRRUY C12 BURB +20 292
#note Mostly considered this, FURY/BURY C12, and 14D RUBBY. RUBBY stands out on a sim - this gives a lot more points back.
>Carl: ?AEEINN F1 NAr.EINE +63 292
>Noah: DFIJRTY 1F .IFTY +33 325
#note Row 1 looked really worrisome here, so I chose this, did see JIB but don't think I considered it very seriously.
>Carl: EGILQUZ 15A ZE.U +48 340
#note Maybe QUIZ instead, it feels like I can get in the way of E6 QI a lot. The points of ZEBU seem nice though. My potential doesn't look all that strong here, best stuff is probably D1 bingos ending in D. Some nice J scores are available on row 14 and in the top left, too, though there are a bunch of Rs left.
>Noah: DEEJRRR 5A JERRE.D +33 358
#note This was tricky for me. First, I wasn't even sure this spelling was valid. Second, I didn't like opening the big J spot on column A (the column B spot is also probably better with this play than with JEREED). I didn't love exposing the E with JEERED - even though it seemed to help my RR leave, it seemed to help the pool even more. A big draw to this was just that RR looked very bad after JEREED. I may have underestimated how many bad possibilities there are for Carl - maybe there are a lot of U-less Q racks that don't get there for him. I think I kind of felt like I was drawing dead or mostly dead here.
>Carl: GILOOQR B2 OGL.R +16 356
#note Champ suggests GOO 13G for 4 more in the optimal line.
>Noah: ADRTUV 14E TURD +10 368
