>Jared_Cappel: AHILOTZ 8H AZOTH +42 42
#note JC: After the game, I looked at my rack and saw that I had THIAZOL.This is the start of a series of horrible blunders.
>Morris_Greenberg: AEESUUW 9I AWEE +32 32
>Jared_Cappel: ADIILNR L8 ..RNIAL +20 62
#note JC: I didn't know INTERLAID (although it makes sense as a word). LARI 10J is the next best play (I didn't consider it). HERNIAL sims closely with IZAR or IZARD as the next best options.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?FOPSUU M4 POUFS +32 64
>Jared_Cappel: BDEIITT - +0 62
#note JC: I thought POUFS was removed as a slur (POOFS*).
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AEITUV 14J VA.UE +32 96
#note MG: Figured this and AUdIT(I)VE were pretty close, and I wasn't sure of the S hook on AUDITIVE and didn't want that to be a decider late in the game. In retrospect though, VATU L1 looks like a safer version of this idea, I didn't give it enough merit.
>Jared_Cappel: BDEIITT O12 BIDI +40 102
>Morris_Greenberg: ?CGIITX 11F eXCITI.G +84 180
>Jared_Cappel: EINTTU 11D UN........ +38 140
#note JC: Not sure of my 7th tile but I needed the points here.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EEMNST F6 EaSEM.NT +66 246
#note MG: I thought after UN(eXCITING), Jared was likelier to be holding bingo tiles to hefty tiles, so I tried choosing a bingo that was conducive to minimizing response bingos here even though it gives the juicy triple. ME 10F is also worth considering here.
>Jared_Cappel: EIIOTTW 8A TOWIE. +30 170
>Morris_Greenberg: FJLNORY 13C JOL.Y +38 284
>Jared_Cappel: BGIMQTU - +0 170
#note JC: I have no idea why I challenged JOLTY other than it looked funny. My 2nd lost challenge on a 5 this game. Yeesh.
>Morris_Greenberg: AFLNNOR 9B FON +20 304
#note MG: Considered a lot of things here. I wanted to make a blocking play over the equity-friendly FANON L1, but between FON, RONN(E)L 9B, ALF(A) 7C, FANN(E)R and LANN(E)R 6B, the nuances felt subtle. I didn't do RONN(E)L because OR 9s could be a sneaky way to lose (e.g., CREMAT(OR)Y scores over 100 I noticed in-game), I thought ALF(A) didn't block the T enough, and FANNER and LANNER could give back hefty 6s that make 1 bingo within reach.
>Jared_Cappel: BGIMQTU E2 QUBIT +34 204
>Morris_Greenberg: AAELNRY 4B ARA.LE +16 320
#note MG: Not good equity, but tops the sim easily, just minimizes bingos so much.
>Jared_Cappel: ADGHIMN 3G HAM +24 228
>Morris_Greenberg: DDNOTVY B2 TO.DY +34 354
>Jared_Cappel: DEGILNO C13 .OG +11 239
#note JC: Opening the 3x3 lane out of lack of other ideas.
>Morris_Greenberg: DEEKNOV 2I EVOKED +48 402
#note MG: VE(G) blocks triple-triples, but this leaves 6 in the bag so Jared can only bingo once (and if it is a worst-case triple-triple this turn, I'll have a first-mover advantage in the endgame within him drawing into 6). This should outrun anything like RE(G)AINER.
>Jared_Cappel: DEILNRS 5L R.D +4 243
#note JC: If I want to fish here, OR is much better than ROD. Draws of A, E, and G (5/13) bingo down the O column and the A also hits a 3x3 of SIGNALED.
>Morris_Greenberg: AEEINRS 15A RA.E +18 420
#note MG: No triple-triples.
>Jared_Cappel: CEGILNS O4 GENIC +35 278
>Morris_Greenberg: AEINRRS 14B N.RIS +34 454
#note MG: 1 point better to block the outs with N(O)SIER or S(O)ARER K1.
>Jared_Cappel: LPS K1 P.LS +6 284
#note JC: A truly terrible performance but I encouraged Morris to post these games to hold myself accountable and encourage me to play better going forward.
>Jared_Cappel: (AER) +6 290
