#note It seems that either one of the plays I wrote down is wrong or we had a tile bag with a non-standard Scrabble distribution during the game; in particular, when Quackling, an extra A would seemingly need to replace an E for my scoresheet to be correct. My best guess is that he played ER rather than AR on his 5th turn. Perhaps my annotation will change in the future to reflect new information (e.g. if Stefan reports something about the game). As for the play, I'm pretty sure I had this, and mostly considered OX as an alternative, and thought the pool was DEELMTTVZ. We appear to have agreed to an overscore of 43 for AXON.

#note Thought about this move for a while. I think I played this as a "steal" and thought that some other play, maybe SER, was actually optimal, but post-play or post-game thought this actually seemed better than alternatives because after AXED I can play VAC + JAYVEES, not just VARS as I think I thought, though also, I seem to have written down on my scoresheet that VARS scores 14. Anyway, Champ ranks this play #1.
