People will sacrifice a bit of equity to make re-overlaps harder and people will sacrifice a bit of equity to not completely blow the board open after KENTE, although the latter factor seems less strong than the former. As a result I think that KENTE has to be right, as I'm not necessarily getting the re-overlaps Quackle assumes after KETENE.
