#note Quackle thinks TE(E)nSIER provides me with better stuff next turn, but meh. Only thing I buy is that this makes an annoying X bomb spot and I'd rather not. But making it a lot harder to access the left of the board with the b seemed nice

#note saw ATILT here, but NAW there was boring and bad, and WANNA* isn't valid yet

#note I actually didn't even spot that PERsONA fits here at 13I. Only looked to the G and the Y. There's something to be said about doing PERsONA for a bit more spread maybe, but honestly this might be a better spread play despite Quackle's thoughts that it's -5. PERsONA creates an immediate 3x3 threat or 70-point comeback play, and pries open the 14th and potentially later, the 15th rows for a late comeback, and it's very hard to get rid of those threats. It also leaves the G open for ING bingos and even 4-letter plays that create a lane on row 2. APO has to be a better play here, but PERsONA could have been nice for spread maybe.

#note (C)ARD was a nice play. Hard to overlap effectively or block otherwise without an S. Not sure why I didn't see/consider NEX(T) in the same spot, but this is nice to somewhat set up the X in a few spots and better respond to Max's threats.

#note didn't see the two other blank bingos here, LUNU(L)AtE and UN(D)ULAtE. LUNULATE can't be right even though it's a tad better for spread, since 3x3s are a bit too likely. UN(D)ULAtE is much safer than LUNULATE, but gives back too many bingos and scoring plays to Max to be worth the 6 points, perhaps. #questionable

#note weird spot. I think it should be worth it to not allow Max to fish here and play on column N or O here, despite huge equity sacrifices. I considered O1 (E)TIC or (E)MIC but that still allows some fishes for (C)ONTI(N)UES or less likely (C)ONTI(N)UER. CONTINUES was what I saw, which was enough for me to just take this play. But CONSENTER/CRETONNES and CRETINOUS are also there. So (E)TIC for 9 is actually better than (E)TIC for 12 and (E)MIC for 11 better than (E)MIC for 16 given the likelihood of an immediate bingo or successful fish. I can always block next turn, but Max can create another threat on the other side of the board, or even just threaten stuff now. FIC(O) might be OK if I want to block too. #questionable
>Maxim_Panitch: EIINSTU 13C .I +18 253
#note pretty sure this is what Max said he had. This is a really(!) strong play. It isn't clear what 6-tile leave Max has here, because it's just a good play unless he missed a bingo.

#note lots to calculate here. My start-off point was one of trying to figure out if he was likelier to have RETI(N)UES or TRI(b)UNES/TUR(b)INES. I think I calculated this as best spread if he was just as likely to have either, but there was a lot more calculation to do. And I don't know how to really determine which spot he was likelier to hit. JUCO/bO was nice but it gave back RETIN(U)ES if the U was in the bag, which feels like the most likely scenario? I actually missed INTE(N)SER though, which is very big here. That means that blocking this area is much better than blocking the other area, but that JUCO/bO doesn't actually give away anything new, since he would have INTENSER anyway, RETINUES just scores a bit more.
