>Josh: ABCEGMT H4 GAMBE +24 24
>Jackson: EGIIKOO 7H .OOGIE +11 11
#note started off the series with a bad play, somehow missed I3 KOI, which is very standard. BOOKIE is also a bit better, and I dont remember having a good reason for choosing bookie over boogie.
>Josh: CLOPSTZ 5D COLZ. +32 56
#note looks good. CLOZE is the more defensive option, which sims a bit better
>Jackson: EEIIKSW F5 .IKEWISE +69 80
#note rewarded for stupid play
>Josh: AEPSSTX M6 S.XTAPES +86 142
>Josh: AEPSSTX -- -86 56
>Jackson: ?AEORRT E7 ORATuRE +81 161
#note I think it's ASSORTER or AEROMETER 8A here. he has PAX keeping ESST if I play those, or PRETAX, but I expect him to play for the former. I think that's slightly better than the orature-apex combo. I didn't see APEX so thought this would be best
>Josh: AEPSSTX D12 APEX +52 108
>Jackson: ACEEIIP 15A APE. +39 200
#note felt close between CAPE and APEX equity-wise, so i preferred to not make the annoying S hook and keep a more balanced leave to avoid disaster draws. CAPE has about a point and a half higher valuation in a sim, so I think APEX is a fine choice, especially since the C has some extra defensive potential
>Josh: ELNSSTV J6 S.LVENTS +65 173
#note VENTLESS
>Jackson: CEIIINT D1 ICTI. +20 220
#note considered GENII as well. Does anyone ever play INTI or TITI? I think GENII is the better defensive play if I go that route. ICTIC's valuation is about 7 higher, which is why I played it, cause my lead wasnt solid enough to start making such sacrifices.
>Josh: DEFFMOS L6 F.EFDOMS +86 259
#note a loud barge of pedaling bikers passed us as he made this play, causing him to miss the I at 1D. dont bike, kids
>Jackson: ADEINNN N1 NANNIED +81 301
>Josh: AIILOTY 1L YO.I +33 292
>Jackson: AHLNRRY C12 HAR. +33 334
#note couldn't pull the trigger on AR(C)HLY, which I really liked as a play. However, also missed LINHAY despite seriously looking. I'd definitely play one of those over HARE had I been sure/seen them, even though HARE wins a sim.
>Josh: AILNTTU 8A NATU.. +21 313
>Jackson: ILNRUVY 2D .URVILY +25 359
#note this is phony. I took a while here, mostly cause I was doubting if this was a word, and losing a turn here is huge. I imagine something like VIR(T)U is best here. It was hard to believe I didn't have a good play through the I or C, but it seems like none exist
>Josh: ?AILTUW M11 WAIL +27 340
#note WAIL seems to bingo slightly more than WAIT, and the added parallel defense of the L doesn't hurt
>Jackson: AEGNOQT H1 Q. +33 392
#note not super worried about bingoes given the pool, and might be able to occasionally outrun them after this. Considered T(Y)NE as the QAT setup, but he can dink two tiles there and make my life hard. JERBOa would hurt. QAN(A)T is the other reasonable option here. The best thing about that play is it limits his fishing options to the WAILS spot, which I can block, so he's inclined to just try to outrun. After QI, he's likely just fishing and trying to hit one of the bingo lanes to win, and he'll leave 1 or 2 tiles in the bag, limiting my outrunning options. QI doesn't do very well at outrunning if he fishes, it can just outrun occasional immediate bingoes. However, QI barely ever gets outrun without a bingo, whereas QANAT can lose to a few scoring plays, especially if he has the blank. I do kind of like QANAT now, since leaving 2 in the bag is so good for outrunning, and I would probably play that in a do-over.
>Josh: ?DRRTUU 4K DUR. +10 350
#note seems like the right idea here
>Jackson: AEEGNOT B6 GO.TEE +13 405
#note champ is saying B13 TOP but that makes no sense. I think this wins always except for DROUTHs
>Josh: ?BHORTU 3A TRU.H +21 371
#note best endgame is N10 BeT, setting up HOUR. I have to block with AD, and he goes out with 3A ROUTH
>Jackson: ADJN B1 JA. +20 425
#note JAPE is 2 better
>Josh: ?BO 14A BO..s +30 401
>Josh: (DN) +6 407
