Game 4
I spent an extra ninety seconds trying to talk myself into R(O)UX and couldn't. It does sim a point ahead of RAX.

#note Missed both EcTO(M)ERE and TElO(M)ERE, not for lack of trying. After opp's exch 1 it's best to hold back anyway. But OE at 10I is the next-level find here as it is sneakily much more defensive.

#note This is where everything starts to go wrong. With many nearly equivalent options, I was dead set on unduplicating and against opening the top right, e.g. with 3B JA(G)ER. The top-simmer here, M12 AJI, just feels dunderheaded and I'm not sure I even considered it. What I *really* wanted was JAR(L) at 13G for the same score, but couldn't quite find the gumption. That's gotta be better though, since opp's counterplay in the h column gives me first crack at the resulting floater, and because of all the unseen OOs for J underlaps. Per opp, my play blocked a bingo...but playing it in the other spot also blocks...and it was easy to foresee pretty much exactly the chain of events that this play set off.

#note Good luck and GODSPEED#. Not too scared of n column bingos that give back huge reparallels, and sure, I could easily draw an ess myself...but the long term loss of board control sucks. A YEPS bingo *right now* is actually totally fine...later not so much, as we shall see. I'm totally willing to make plays like this, and this again blocked a bingo, per opp, but it's not great to be *forced* into it. How much equity should I be willing to sacrifice here for board control? I feel like 12I KEPI types of plays have been sure losers for me in the past.

#note Now have to play chess, which I suck at. D11 D(R)OID looks like the play here.

#note Now melting down, right on schedule. 10B DUI(T) is a pretty basic find.

#note I was so into chasing the Q I didn't consider DI(T)Z. And DIZE(N) is better in this and every other way. Other than that...

#note Four-ply sim strongly prefers exchanging over any play on the board, including this. Didn't even think of that option. But I'm probably cooked here regardless.
