#player2 Jared_Cappel Jared Cappel
>Arie_Sinke: EILNRVY 8F NERVILY +84 84
#note Only bingo.
>Jared_Cappel: ?AFIKMR K4 FARM.IKe +114 114
>Jared_Cappel: ?AFIKMR -- -114 0
>Arie_Sinke: LOPRSSX 9E POX +39 123
#note Not sure what to do here. Jared threatens to play FINMARKs or FINnMARK through the N, so I have to block those plays; without this knowledge OXLIPS J5 might be a good choise. I can do LOX/POX/SOX, of which I chose POX for the few extra points. A possibly better option which I did not see is PLEXOR G6. This does not set up KA and KAFIR for 32 and 33 like POX/LOX/SOX does, and it makes it very likely that I can score well with PLEXORS next turn. It wins a sim with opponent rack specified, and I think it's better than my play.
>Jared_Cappel: ?AFIKMR 7G KA +32 32
>Arie_Sinke: LRRSSTU L3 SULTR. +18 141
#note This and SURLY are similar plays, they sim within a point of each other and it's hard to evaluate between them. Should I give up 2 points here to keep the T with RS? Another option is to give up 6 points and play TRULLS K5, knowing that Jared has a blank and that creating floaters doesn't favor me.
>Jared_Cappel: ?DFIIMR 5J FI.M +18 50
>Arie_Sinke: ENRRSUW 10B UNSEW +36 177
#note I didn't have the courage (or foolhardiness) to play NEW 10D instead here; Jared has R?, and if he has an A to go with that, the (A)NEW hook is not my friend. Plus, RR is probably not that much worse than RRSU.
>Jared_Cappel: ?ADIRWZ N4 WIZARDs +99 149
>Arie_Sinke: ?CEHRRT C7 TRE.CHeR +78 255
#note This looks like the best bingo.
>Jared_Cappel: AEY O6 AYE +40 189
>Arie_Sinke: AGIMNTU 14A MU.ING +26 281
#note This play is pretty weak; don't know what I was thinking here. Missed TeGUMINA 13B, and lots of dinky two tile plays sim better than this. I think I really wanted to block TRENCHERS? And overlooked TeGUMINA by fixating on it?
>Jared_Cappel: GOOP O1 POGO +30 219
>Arie_Sinke: ABDIOTT A12 TO.B +27 308
#note I thought this was better than COTTA 11C because COTTAE is dangerous, and the sim seems to concur.
>Jared_Cappel: HU N1 UH +24 243
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEITV 4D DEVIATE +79 387
#note This looks best.
>Jared_Cappel: NOOT 11C .ONTO +33 276
>Arie_Sinke: AAEEIQS B6 QI +33 420
#note Looks best, but QAID D1 is interesting; improves the leave and with all the U's played doesn't set anything up. Here I see a lot of value in blocking B1-7, so I prefer QI anyhow.
>Jared_Cappel: DILN H1 NID.L +18 294
>Arie_Sinke: AABDEES H11 SABED +35 455
#note Here I just take the points. A more rack-balancing play like BAA A7 does a bit better in the sim, though. It is very difficult for me to lose, even to two bingos, but probably possible, and creating lines for eights doesn't help me to avoid that unlikely fate.
>Jared_Cappel: AIJ A7 AJI +33 327
>Arie_Sinke: AAAEFGR F2 FA.A +18 473
#note Looks correct, optimizes score and leave without emptying the bag.
>Jared_Cappel: ENOT I12 TONE +17 344
>Arie_Sinke: AEEEGLR 10J LEER. +6 479
#note This blocks both of Jared's outs (LOCIES K8 and COSIEs 10I) while threatening to go out myself. However, it's not optimal, as Jared can play OSE 13J to block AGE in the same spot, forcing me to go out with GAE 3B for only 11. A bette option is to play LEE J10 for 8, threatening BORAGE 13H for 22, which cannot be blocked in a profitable way.
>Jared_Cappel: CEIOS 6D COS +20 364
>Arie_Sinke: AEG J13 AGE +25 504
#note AGE is correct. Played decent scrabble here apart from missing TeGUMINA.
>Arie_Sinke: (EI) +4 508
