Game 4
Did see REFACE but couldn't stomach blowing up the rack. Sim has us bingoing 25% after REFACE to 35% after FEE, which is way closer than I would have thought.

#note Giant whiff on 8K (S)WIFT. Tunneled on BOW because it forces opp's bingo toward the edge.

#note 8K again. Also again, there is undeniable value in refusing to float tiles to opp here. Hard to say if it is 13 points worth of value.

#note Didn't even consider playing in the top left, where all of the top-simming plays are to be found. HELIU(M) is probably worth it since it turns over maximally and dumps the U. What I didn't see is that it's pretty hard for opp to bingo twice after HELIUM, and that's all I really need here as I hold the Z(ED) bomb. Tough to get one's head around all of this since it looks superficially like I should continue to avoid floating anything at all. The exciting conclusion bears out the need for a HELIUM type of play in this position.

#note And now a fine mess. Sim is no help, I suspect. Couldn't imagine UR(A)EI getting it done. Now with robo-assistance, in fact it's the I and N that are the worst threats, not the A and S...but I'm not going to see that in the moment. GE(N)U is pretty good but was too scary in the moment. I didn't consider one-tile plays, of which there are a couple of options which score double digits. To the naked eye that looks to have about the same chances of prevailing as any block. If I enjoyed analyzing this type of turn more, I would get better at it.
