#note Sometimes I wonder if certain positions are played the same by grandmasters and by novices/idiots while middling experts go with the "standard" plays. I didn't even look for short parallels here, which is definitely an error of process since those tend to be the best options. I just decided I wanted to unload as much of this junk as possible and didn't mind stretching the board either. 9H FEY has great merit, and G6 FU(J)I portends every bit the open board as my play was intended to. These two top the sim rather decisively. With knowledge of these two options, OUTBYE is hard to defend. I just hope I don't become resistant to plays like this just because the robot says it's bad.

#note Didn't want to take too much time, but there are other common UN- words that put an A instead of an E at E8, which seems significant enough to count as a small mistake.

#note Did see VALU(E), which sims three better, but I'm just not keeping URR here, not even to block that hopspot.

>Stefan_Kac: AEBRSTV 8A BRAV. +42 154
#note BREV(E) sims a point worse but I should have considered it given the pool (and if I'm serious about max open-boardedness).

#note With three esses out, EXSERT is def better.

#note LIONISES/MESHiNGS is a sickie.
>Sal_Piro: OOF C3 FOO +27 281
>Stefan_Kac: AEIDHTW M1 WHID +47 399
#note I kept thinking, "When you've lost the first five in a row, HID is the play here." Who doesn't like points? But there are more points with N2 WIDTH, and HID actually sims quite far ahead of WHID.
>Sal_Piro: AEDP 1K PA.ED +36 327
>Stefan_Kac: AEIDMTT N4 DEMIT +32 431
#note So WHID does permit forking, which is exactly what I don't want. Def not firing on all cylinders here, though on the whole this was so much better played than the previous game that it's all hard to fathom.
