#note Questionable, but I was thinking that extending this AX spot to AXIS really makes opp's life difficult by killing all rather than just some of the new floaters. I also was unsure of any backhooks to PATINATE and saw this as a way to lower those stakes. This also kills big overlaps, though underlaps can still hit.

#note Spent a godawful amount of time trying not to play this but couldn't stomach any of the other options. Assuming I didn't miss anything that is in fact obviously better, this seemed like a real line-in-the-sand moment for human vs. robot, short- vs. long-term, win vs. spread types of cosmic considerations. The upside is huge, but it also opens the door for opp rather than forcing opp to do it themselves. What I've gathered from players who would in fact play JAR here is that this is where you tell yourself, "Even if it blows up, I still probably win by a little rather than by a lot." What did ensue seemed like a 80-90th percentile worst-case, with opp getting bingo scores out of both sides of the fork and me getting nothing...but holding the blank did, eventually, make it possible to recover. Would be very curious to know higher rated players' thoughts on this position.
