#note Rd 6 Philly virtual 11-21-2021.
Standings:
1st 4-1 +156
2nd 4-1 +29
3rd Robin 3-2 +147
4th me 3-2 +82
5th 1-4 -148
6th 0-5 -266
So I just need to beat Robin by 33 or more to guarantee myself to finish ahead of her, but to finish 2nd, I need the guy in the lead to win this one. Or, the guy in 2nd wins by so much that I finish ahead of the current 1st place person. If not, the best finish I have even with a very narrow win could still be 3rd, which would be pretty wild! I'm hoping to snap a 3-game losing streak against her, and this move looks pretty good.
>skaplan31: AEEMOOT 7G ATOM +20 20
#note Not bad for forking purposes, but doing 9G EMOTE would have forked just as nicely and scored a little better. Then again, EMOTE has its own problems with the 3 hooks it takes.
>hellacia: ?EJRSTV -JV +0 14
#note Considering I essentially helped her out (I would have done that either way), I don't mind the exchange if she's looking to win instead of go for spread.
>skaplan31: CDEEOPR 9B PROCEED +68 88
#note While I had no problem seeing the bingoes (PRECODE also plays), this was a major error as this does play at 9G for 87. #visionsad
>hellacia: ?ERSTTY E4 STRET.hY +98 112
#note By convention, Robin would have scored extremely nicely with N9 SYReTTE after 9G PROCEED. This is a very nice find by her, but I'm not gonna sit here and sugarcoat my miss of the 9G placement just because she had a good play no matter what. That's 19 more points I could have used.
>skaplan31: ADEIMOX D11 OXIM +31 119
#note Honestly, I have no business being in this game missing plays all over the board thus far. I did purposely pass up AXIOM, but even that was a mistake. Robin missed the OXIME hook on this and at least I made her pay, but even that shouldn't have happened. D11 ADMIX for 51 was a miss.
>hellacia: EEHIINR 13B HE.NIE +20 132
#note 15C HEINIE is her play in this case. I got away with one.

#note Sometimes, it's not hard to find plays. Now I seem to have it.

>skaplan31: DEGINTY A4 .INGY +36 220
#note WEDGY, WYTED, and WINGY are all reasonable here, it seemed like the DET was the best leave on this particular board for Row 4 and hooking RE on Row 14, as well as on Row 12 especially.

#note If she had found JELUTONG with an open T, that would have been amazing! Looks all right.
>skaplan31: ?BEFOTU C11 FO. +24 275
#note Best play.
>hellacia: AAEEGLO K10 GAE. +10 237
#note I might have given some thought to AGAVE here or even the more daring move of LOVAGE.
>skaplan31: ?BEITUU 6D U.B +11 286
#note No need to be risky when I'm up with 2B QUBIT or QUITE. I do have a massive advantage with my other U now.
>hellacia: AAEFLNO 3J FA.E +20 257
>skaplan31: ?EEINTU 2E qUIETEN +69 355
#note I'm up by just under the bare minimum before this move, but I think that conservative play once again will do the trick under the circumstances. I'm already gonna by up almost 100 with this play without risking good counterplay, so why would I do N1 ENsUITE here?
>hellacia: AELNOVW 1F NOW +37 294
#note Figured this would happen.
>skaplan31: BIRRSTZ N10 ZITS +41 396
#note Just knocking out the possibility of PAROLES/REPOSAL should the V be in the bag, or PLOVERS with an A draw. A more sure block in case I miss anything else might have been 10K GRIZ to avoid Column O reparallels. This does win 100%.
>hellacia: AELORSV O7 LEVAS +37 331
#note 1J RAVELS is by far her best spread cutter.
>skaplan31: BPRR 11J B.P +7 403
#note C6 BRR(R) is 6 more spread points for me. Don't get too lazy just because the game is locked up.
>hellacia: OR 14D .OR +16 347
#note Looks good. Man, I should have gotten burned after the start I had, but at least I rediscovered myself the 2nd half and while not pretty, the person in 1st did win his game allowing me to finish as the silver medalist.
