>hellacia: ADDMOTU - +0 0
#note Rd 3 Philly virtual 9-19-2021. I'm 1st.
>skaplan31: FHINOTX 8H FOHN +20 20
#note Yea, it is more conventional to dump the X immediately. I figured I could score not too much less now without burning the X and force underlaps that could give me good counterplay with the X. I might have 9I XI immediately, I might not.
>hellacia: ADDMOTU 7I DUAD +20 20
>skaplan31: IORTWXZ 6K RITZ +39 59
#note My X plan didn't work out, but at least I could overcome Robin's defensiveness with this play that needed to be found. I don't care if she has the Y, this is the most I'm scoring by far.
>hellacia: AEEFMOT 9G FEM +29 49
>skaplan31: EINOOWX 10I EXON +34 93
#note I did see 10E OXEN, but this seemed safer to me.
>hellacia: ADEEOTV 11D VETOED +29 78
#note I wish there was a 2nd X given the H12 hotspot! This play looks fine.
>skaplan31: EILNORW 11K WORN +26 119
#note Definitely wasn't sure how to feel about WO in the same spot as I didn't love EILNR on this board. Maybe WON is a little better for the leave, but there's still 4 Ss left and I don't give up an S hook with WORN over WON. WO is a reasonable play because Robin will want to score thru the V in VETOED some of the time which could open up a bingo line for me. I did not spot D8 WOL(V)ER which would have given me a nice fork and scored a couple more. #strategymedium
>hellacia: AAJMOOR D9 JA.A +28 106
#note I guess I got lucky that keeping a bingo leave may or may not have done a whole lot for me.
>skaplan31: BDEGILR 5H GLIB +26 145
#note Or GIB or BIG in this spot, I prefer GLIB here.
>hellacia: EMOORTW 12L MEOW +40 146
#note Easily best.
>skaplan31: ADEERSU 13J RUED +24 169
#note I liked this over O12 WADE or O12 WAUR for turnover and something that allows me to utilize my AES leave nicely for Row 4 bingoes and Row 14 bingoes.
>hellacia: EELORTY O4 TOYER +44 190
#note And she beat me to the Y. Yay for that battle. O1 ROTELY is a viable option for turnover herself, but this is also a safer move.
>skaplan31: AEEPSTY C12 YEP +21 190
#note O12 WYTE is 9 more immediately, but I have the case S now.
>hellacia: ACEGLLP 14F GLACE +18 208
>skaplan31: AEGIRST B7 SEAGIRT +70 260
#note Gotta enjoy drawing into stems.
>hellacia: EHIILNP A1 HIPLINE +91 299
#note It's unfortunate that choosing SEAGIRT over B6 STAGIER ended up allowing her a spot for this bingo. Nice play Robin.
>skaplan31: CILNOST 8A S.C +54 314
#note But then this scoring spot was too juicy to pass up.
>hellacia: ABIIRST 15J TIBIAS +36 335
#note She might as well go for the blanks at this point. I'm fine with this move.
>skaplan31: EILNNOT 15D ELOIN +29 343
#note Definitely no point in me fishing either for the same reason Robin did TIBIAS.
>hellacia: AIQRUUV H2 QUA. +15 350
#note I don't blame Robin for this. By doing J2 QUAI, that allows me much easier lines, especially a 80+ point out bingo from the H.
>skaplan31: ??ANOST 3C hANdO.TS +66 409
#note Easy enough to bingo out here, but clearly this was not very good board vision. E5 lAcTON(E)S, AmNiOT(E)S, etc are not hard to spot. I'm 3-0 now which is nice, but that's also 14 spread points in the garbage right there.
