>Noah: ELOOPTZ 8H PLOTZ +52 52
>Jackson: ?GNOOOP 9G GOOP +21 21
#note didn't notice until after that POO keeps PLOTZING draws. Q still prefers GOOP cause it's a lot more scoring defensive, and I bingo more with NO?. seems fine
>Noah: EEIKOSU L8 .OUKS +36 88
>Jackson: ?ANNOOR K1 sONORAN. +64 85
#note missed ORgANON(S), which is well worth considering. He recoups about 6 more than me next turn. I think I prefer playing Noah on an open board, which may just be for my own sanity, since closed boards had me stressed out this tournament, and not necessarily because I am more favoured.
>Noah: AEEEILV 1K .IEVE +24 112
>Jackson: ?ACELOR 3G COLi.EAR +76 161
#note missed LACEwOR(K) and LAvEROC(K) despite looking hard. I missed EsCAROLE too, but there's a good argument to be made for COLINEAR over that.
>Noah: AAAEILN N1 .A.IA +16 128
#note Perhaps VARA -- the O4 spot is actually not that bad after VARA, and ALIEN is a potent leave.
>Jackson: FIIOTTU 10C OUTFIT +25 186
>Noah: AEEGLNN E8 EN.ANGLE +68 196
>Jackson: AEEIRUY 15A AIYE. +27 213
#note wasn't 100% sure of AERILY. I would have played that had I been sure, but AIYEE is only a bit worse
>Noah: BDHMNSV J2 H.M +32 228
#note Sim suggests MIB instead -- about a 9 point average score increase on the next turn!
>Jackson: EEEHIRU O5 HIREE +29 242
>Noah: BBDNSTV -DEGII +0 228
#note STOB sims better by several points.
>Jackson: ACDEUWX 12D U.WAXED +52 294
#note missed CAUD(E)X, which is worth playing. I give up a few more bingoes after CAUDEX cause I'm leaving the bottom lanes untouched (and the D isn't so bad), but I block a scoring spot that can occasionally give huge scores.
>Noah: FINSSTU 6F FUSTI.NS +71 299
>Jackson: CEJQRSW H1 CR.W +39 333
#note very interesting turn, and not that it signifies much here but a sim has CROW, QI, and COW as a dead lock. COW looks sick at a glance, but there are some worries. I could draw two consonants, and if I don't draw JETS I'm kinda screwed. If he makes a D column or 5 row play, that initiates a two turn sequence to block SCOW. I doubt he'd do that too intentionally, cause he's more likely to try and hit the 8 row to outrun SCOW plays, but if he has a decent scoring D column play he may choose that to at least open the door to a block so I can't keep refishing, forcing me to play a lower scoring SCOW play. QI is worth considering to unload the Q now while it's easy, since it may be harder later. I also keep COW or CROW for next turn, and I could draw another tile (vowel or T) that make it a better setup (especially if he plays at 8a after QI). Finally, CROW is a bit of a standard middling play, but I keep the case S and 14a QI for next turn, and I can respond better to his occasional D column or N column bingoes. Not sure what the call is here
>Noah: BDEIMRT D2 TIMBRED +83 382
#note Not a word! Such a bad call to not hold, it briefly crossed my mind to hold but just didn't, and I think had I held I coulda figured out that I would need to challenge to win. Noah: It was exciting to try this -- I wasn't sure about it, but played it quickly. There are strong real plays, lke ITEM/IDEM and TIMBER, available.
>Jackson: AEIJQRS 3C Q. +22 355
#note liked playing this over the other QI to make some occasional S setups with SAY, and liked this over QAT to keep RAJ 9A in case he has really clunky letters and I can outscore. Still a dire position though
>Noah: DEILNVY 11J IN.Y +25 407
#note Blocking column N and not emptying, I think my idea was that maybe I could win in response to a bingo, and should be comfortable no matter what if Jackson does not bingo on his next turn. IVY M12 looks better than this, though -- it leaves only ALGEBRAS, BLASTIER, and GASTRAEA as possible bingos for Jackson, while INKY allows several additional bingos starting with L.
>Jackson: ADEIJRS 9A RAJ +35 390
#note Q doesn't find any wins, I was excited for RAJ before INKY cause it would get a lot of sick 13G outs
>Noah: ABDELTV A8 B.AVED +39 446
#note ADVERT is +6 on Champ.
>Jackson: DEGIS 13G GIDS +33 423
>Noah: LT 11I L.... +16 462
>Jackson: E C9 ..E +10 433
#note 3 over
>Jackson: (T) +2 435
