>skaplan31: DDORRTU - +0 0
#note Rd 2 Philly virtual 6-6-2021. I'm 2nd.
>joeboy2: ?LMNSVW -LMVW +0 0
#note Looks fine and is close with exchanging down to LS?, MS?, and S?. Joel's play looks to be the sim winner.
>skaplan31: DDORRTU 8G RUDD +12 12
#note No 5 letter words exist, and I don't mind making this placement after an exchange 4. An exchange 1 or 2 would have prompted me to play this at 8E instead.
>joeboy2: ?IJLLNS H7 J.N +10 10
#note Despite the hotspot that K4 JILLS opens up, I do like that play better.
>skaplan31: GILOORT 7F GO.I +21 33
#note Meanwhile, while I thought he was consonant heavy and probably didn't keep that well if he only scored 10 with the J and was trying to limit my options, I hope to make him open up for cheap as well.
>joeboy2: ?BILLRS K2 BILLeRS +73 83
#note That wasn't really what I meant by opening up for cheap. But, it did allow me to bingo.
>skaplan31: EHLORTY 3F RHYOL.TE +88 121
#note HELOTRY, which I saw immediately, did play at K2 and 6I. I remember not knowing this word the last time I had this rack at club, so it was gonna be hard to miss this time. This is 2 more than K2 HELOTRY so I'll take it.
>joeboy2: ENPPTTU 2M PUP +18 101
#note This is not bad, but I like 4K LETUP better.
>skaplan31: AABEEQR H1 BA.ER +33 154
#note Q does prefer this or H1 ABYE over I5 QAID. I chose BAYER over ABYE for turnover with the Q.
>joeboy2: AEMNTTV 6J V.T +13 114
#note Looks good.
>skaplan31: AEEFGIQ -AEFGIQ +0 154
#note I suck.
>joeboy2: AAEEMNT O1 A.E +15 129
#note Got lucky Joel missed 1B ENTAME(B)A.
>skaplan31: EEIIIOT -EIIIO +0 154
#note This time, exchanging is correct. Last turn, it was not.
>joeboy2: ACEMNOT 5D COME. +18 147
>skaplan31: EEFTVWW I2 W.W +19 173
>joeboy2: ?AANSTY J8 .AY +15 162
#note His only bingo is D5 (C)YANATeS for 76.
>skaplan31: EEFORTV D3 VE.TOR +24 197
#note I did think he was gonna bingo so I decided to create another lane for myself instead of trying to block with 6E FE.
>joeboy2: ?AINRST 11E NARcIST +82 244
#note Unfortunately, his bingo plays nice defense for the most part.
>skaplan31: DEFINNU 4K .INED +34 231
>joeboy2: AEEEGHX C7 HEX +36 280
#note Ugh
>skaplan31: DEFNNUU 12A FUNNED +33 264
#note There we go.
>joeboy2: AAEEEGO 10E AGE +22 302
#note Looks good again.
>skaplan31: ACGIIOU A12 .UCI +27 291
#note Best play.
>joeboy2: AEEIOTZ C12 .AZI +26 328
#note I like H11 (c)OZIE better.
>skaplan31: AAGIIOT 12K ATIGI +16 307
#note I like the openness here in order to protect against the Q, but not when B11 AUTO is 39 as opposed to my measly 16.
>joeboy2: EELMOOT 14A .O. +28 356
>skaplan31: AAEFIOS N10 FO.IE +34 341
#note So I clearly sensed that Joel was not keeping the Q after playing off just 1 tile, otherwise he would have dumped it already. If I was behind by a smaller margin, I would have considered doing 13K OAF to turn over 1 less tile and guarantee myself QIS in 2 spots if I draw the Q. My only hope based on my deficit was to try Q-sticking him and emptying the bag because I didn't see any spots for him to get rid of it, not even for QAT or QI.
>joeboy2: EELMNOT O12 .NTO +16 372
#note I mean he's got me with the Q already, so why not do 13J EMETIN?
>skaplan31: AAKOQSS O8 KOA +26 367
>joeboy2: EELM M11 M.L +20 392
>skaplan31: AQSS B6 ASS +14 381
#note Maybe I2 WOWS?
>joeboy2: EE F5 .E. +8 400
>skaplan31: Q - +0 381
>joeboy2: E 7K .E +4 404
#note Another not very well played game on several turns when I really needed to make plays. As glad as I was to find a potential path to victory, it just didn't work out. But then again, I just wasn't very good in this game.
