>skaplan31: ADHISXY - +0 0
#note Rd 1 Philly virtual 5-13-2021. I'm 2nd.
>joeboy2: AHMOSUZ 8F AZO +24 24
#note Looks fine, he could also do 8G HUM.
>skaplan31: ADHISXY 9D HIYA +28 28
#note Not bad in terms of opening up, but 9F HAY is a little safer. I will get X parallels more often next turn and Joel would have to open up for cheaper on his next move. #visionsmall
>joeboy2: HMRSTUU 8A THRU +30 54
#note Good thing he didn't punish me as badly as it could have been because of his Us problem. But he doesn't score as much on his next turn if I had seen 9F HAY.
>skaplan31: DEIOSTX 10E DEX +43 71
#note I don't know why DOXIEST* can't be good if DOXY and DOXIES are both good. I did get lucky to draw an E for the X parallels I described earlier. This is best.
>joeboy2: BEIMOSU 7H BUM +12 66
>skaplan31: EIOOSTV B8 .OVE +18 89
#note Best play.
>joeboy2: EIILOSS 12B LIS +17 83
#note Not sure how to feel about 6J OI here, while it does set up his L nicely, he does give back nice counterplays very often.
>skaplan31: DFIOSTU K5 TOFU +25 114
#note So his last move was an obvious S telegraph. How do I address that as best as possible? I considered the following: this, 13C FOU, 13C FIDO, 13C FID, and K5 DIF. My thinking was that because he probably didn't keep high pointers in his range, I decided to take out the easy BUMS hook among other 2x2s. He'll have to involve the BUMFS hook to do anything meaningful assuming he is keeping more 1 pointers, which is what I suspected he had.
>joeboy2: EEINOOS 13C NOO +12 95
#note I like L4 OE here too, but this does jump near the top of the sim.
>skaplan31: BDGIPST L4 GIPS +32 146
#note I did look for 5 letter plays here, but there were none. This is definitely the play.
>joeboy2: EEIIOSU -EIOU +0 95
#note I would have exchanged down to just ES here, but this is also fine.
>skaplan31: ?ABDIRT 14D DIRTBAg +67 213
#note This is the highest scoring bingo. I also saw TRIBADe, ReDBAIT, and fATBIRD, but not cATBIRD, although cATBIRD doesn't play on this board. I also looked briefly for 8s at A1, but there were none.
>joeboy2: ACEIIRS 15H ERICA +39 134
#note Looks good to me.
>skaplan31: AEGJLNO M3 JOLE +33 246
#note Was hoping for an R for JARGONEL, but it wasn't meant to be. Best play again.
>joeboy2: CEEIKST 15A KITS +33 167
#note I like C3 TICKER here to set up his S.
>skaplan31: AADGNNR N6 DARN +20 266
#note I did this over DAN in the same spot because of the open R in THRU. Column O bingoes are still reasonably easy to hit after this or DAN.
>joeboy2: CEEFNQW B14 Q. +22 189
#note I would do this over O7 WEEN if I were him too- he does need to play fewer tiles when behind and CFQ is a disgusting leave on this board.
>skaplan31: AEGINTT C1 GNATTIE. +70 336
#note Good thing I could get this down, and it's the only bingo.
>joeboy2: CEEFNNW 2A FE.NEC +34 223
#note That's a nice find.
>skaplan31: ?AMOPRU 1A OR. +29 365
#note 6J MOPED would have been sweet, I did not spot that. This is fine if I'm looking to score and keep 2 different quadrants open. Had Joel not played FENNEC, the only bingo that would have played (and the only one there is with my rack) is 3B P(A)rAMOUR, which I also would not have seen.
>joeboy2: ELNNRWW -LNWW +0 223
#note 6B WINNER looks fine for 19, but I do understand this move in order to prolong the game.
>skaplan31: ?ADEMPU O7 MEAD +33 398
#note While I do keep the top left quadrant open, 6J MOPED again!
>joeboy2: AEELNOR 13H OE +12 235
#note Looks like a great play to me.
>skaplan31: ?PUVWWY -UVWWY +0 398
#note Lol regarding this draw! I did keep the P because of options at 12J.
>joeboy2: AEILNRS 11I ALINERS +72 307
#note This bingo does play at M9 for 6 more.
>skaplan31: ?AEEGIP 6B P.E +11 409
#note This endgame was terribly played. I spent way too long looking for bingoes and there were none, which put me on the verge of going OT after this play. EPIGEAn doesn't play, and I failed to spot Row 10 plays, namely 10K GAPE(D). #visionterrible
>joeboy2: LNUVWWY E1 N.WLY +22 329
#note I wouldn't have stopped him from partially escaping his garbage rack, but still, the endgame was not played at an acceptable level.
>skaplan31: ?AEGI M10 G.nIE +10 419
#note Didn't spot 4C (T)I(L)lAGE either.
>joeboy2: UVW 11B .W +11 340
>skaplan31: A 1A ...A. +10 429
#note At least I got this out play right, but it should never have gotten to be like this in the end.
I'd definitely be curious to know how people would have approached the DFIOSTU rack when I did K5 TOFU over K5 DIF as well as 13C plays if Joel didn't telegraph another S with LIS.
Not a bad game otherwise.

#note Quackle says: Bag wasn't empty or tiles drawn out of order
