#note Rd 7 of HOPPY against one of the directors. I'm gonna feature another exciting one here.
I think this should have been played at 8G if I have a blank in hand, otherwise, this might be fine.
>cesar: ?AFLNOT I5 FrONTAL +69 69
#note Looks like a pretty good rack except for the F. This is the only bingo that Cesar has and it also plays at 9H.
>skaplan31: ?EEILSV 11E EVIL.ESt +90 104
>skaplan31: HMMOPRT (challenge) +5 109
#note One of several 2x2s that exist- namely 11E VEIL(L)ESs, 11E LoVE(L)IES, E5 VES(T)LIkE, E5 ELa(T)IVES, and E4 LEVI(T)iES.
>cesar: BDEEENU H10 B.ENDE +34 103
#note His 2nd highest scoring play- H1 BENDEE is 5 more although a naked U isn't a very good leave.
>skaplan31: HMMOPRT J10 H.MP +35 144
#note Gotta love saving my only vowel with the highest scoring play that I can find. I did also see 12A MORPH but when it's possible to play it safe, let's do that. He's not keeping a Y after BLENDE.
>cesar: DEINUWY 14F WU.DY +52 155
#note And he got the Y. Nice play!
>skaplan31: AGMORTT 12A MAGOT +24 168
#note He's random enough that I can be aggressive now.
>cesar: EEIINRT E2 RETINI.E +66 221
#note Or L6 INTER(t)IE or L5 RETINI(t)E.
>skaplan31: AANRSTU L4 SATURAN. +66 234
#note Good thing I had 2 open Ts somehow.
>cesar: AEGOORR A8 GROO. +24 245
>skaplan31: AAAIINR 8L .AIA +12 246
#note I considered this and D2 ARIA. It was only a matter of preference as to the kind of board I wanted. With Column B open and the floaters in RETINITE open, why not keep things open.
>cesar: ABEEHRS 4A BREA.HES +84 329
#note C7 HERBA(G)ES does play for 4 more. I would not have seen that one. Ultimately, I guess I should have done D2 ARIA, like I knew Cesar had a bingo.
>skaplan31: ACILNOR N8 .RONICAL +74 320
#note At least I had a nice response.
>cesar: FISTUXZ K3 FIZ +54 383
#note This is a nice play as he can draw B9 EX which I won't always block next turn.
>skaplan31: CEIILNP B10 PI.NI +38 358
#note Gonna set up my C for a later score.
>cesar: GSTUVWX H1 VUG. +24 407
#note So I saw Cesar's Twitch stream of the game afterward and he admitted that he pressed enter when he didn't want to. This is actually not a bad move, A14 XU does score fine but keeps too much clunk.
>skaplan31: CEEEJLO 15L JE.L +57 415
#note Maybe JOLE in this spot might be better?
>cesar: ADDSTWX C3 D.WAX +48 455
#note Nice play.
>skaplan31: CEEEIOR 15A ECO +25 440
#note So honestly, I did think that PIANIS* was good and that he'd have PIANIS*/SUQ at 15B. That's why I didn't think I had any wins. As it turns out, I did have 13I PIERCE as my only win. If only I had been sure that PIANI only took a C. Ack!
>cesar: DKQSTU 12M Q.S +13 468
#note So he had a rather nervous reaction when after he took some time to realize I had 13I PIERCE as my only out play and he had to block it. He is very smart to tack the S on as I can score with 13L RICE if he doesn't do that and then he loses. Having said this, 12K SKID is 38 and I can't Q-stick him after he does that. So that is another win for him too. Upon seeing the stream, I simply couldn't control my laughter when he goes "Crap, he has PIERCE!" upon realizing that's my only way to go out.
>skaplan31: EEIR 9E .RE +12 452
>cesar: DKTU 6G TU.K +17 485
#note His best move and that seals it.
>skaplan31: EI B3 I.E +11 463
#note Not gonna lie, I'd certainly be nervous if I was in Cesar's spot when he blocked PIERCE. Well played buddy!
