Game 3
More boh-ring Scrabble. I think QI and ZA should be expunged from NWL simply on intrinsic gameplay grounds. The game would be more interesting and strategic without them. If they're in, though, I am not above stooping to their level.

#note I wouldn't know anything about HaRLO(T)RY. Failing that, I stared down J4 LORY for a good while, then went with this much more conservative option. Sim has LORY 3 better despite scoring 4 less. Sure, I hold a blank, but otherwise opp's rack is probably better groomed than mine, so I didn't like that LORY can give back even worse parallel plays than the ones it blocks.

#note This, RED, or ERG. I'm not sure why I didn't do ERG...it scores 2 more, there's a G floater up top if I need it, and double R isn't so terrible.

#note Aargh, FR(I)DG(E) plays at 4C and is not hard to see if you know you have to locate floating vowels. This is a significant mistake.

#note Couldn't believe there wasn't something better, but this is indeed the only bingo.

#note Sim hates this, but I can defend it. G6 OP(T) sacrifices 5 points to keep EIGLR; that doesn't seem quite worth it. EPILOG in row 11 or 13 blows up the rack for no gain in score or board dynamics. K3 PORE does seem defensible but not massively better than ORG.

#note This or PEIN. The latter is probably a little better since I'm not drawing esses and could use an opening that doesn't require one.

#note Wild pool here. I can't do anything offensively or defensively productive in the upper right, so it's between this and FLEX. I decide I need to count on drawing into something synchronous and that keeping any E is more important than keeping the last A.

#note Consulting Ulu, it seems that 1A OmISSIO(N) with the R in the bag is the only loss here. Even if I am sure of that in the moment, the blocks don't score enough to outrun opp's X plays, so it is indeed best to unload maximally and cross fingers. A bingo through the A in column O, if one were available, doesn't quite score enough to win as long as I make sure it doesn't reach the tws.
