Game 2
GOOF sims best! Can't be so afraid of those hotspots that you make undue sacrifices.

#note Per sim, I chose correctly over K8 YAGI. But 7I CIG runs away with it. Not sure I even saw CIG, I don't love continuing to build a staircase. But most everything else about it is clearly better than this.

#note Channeling my inner Gibson. Not how I normally play, but opp has advantage here in both word knowledge and experience, so L6 PI is probably not going to work in my favor long-term.

#note Sims best. So much for defense, and so much for not building staircases.

#note Once I reinforce all the words I've listed during quarantine, I will start seeing LAMPION, IMPONE, etc. more easily. I just couldn't do it here.
>mahomes: ILNOSVY F10 ...LY +26 193
#note SK opines: this was very interesting in the flow of the game, and it's doubly interesting in examination mode. Is he keeping something great? Or just playing extreme defense against rather unlikely+not super great bingos off of the L or E in IMPALE? Sim rather prefers things like H12 (T)IVY or C11 (EN)VOY. The star defensive play is not this but rather 10A (I)VY.
>kacattac: AAENORT H12 .ARO +12 143
#note Plays parallel to WITTILY sim slightly better than this. I did look there and decided that I needed to create some new bingo lanes, however marginal, instead. Sim looooves 7K (G)OA, but this seems brash after his last play, and also just brash in general. Sim also clearly prefers TORA to TARO, which is something I just don't have the patience to unpack at the moment.

#note Too quick on the draw. (R)ENOvaTE maximizes score here. These are the small details which still seem to elude me.

#note This flipped the game. Was it "correct?" Of course not. Was my process sound? Not completely. But as to whether this play is "defensible," I think it is. The ED down in the corner is still very hittable; hence opp has taken out the tws-tws potential but not really "closed" the lane. Against a lesser opp down only tempo, I think it would be most "correct" to go for points here with 13L ID. Against this opp, who is equally capable as I am of hitting big plays to the ED, I think the volatility route is more necessary. I am going to proffer that as an excuse for the fact that I totally whiffed on even seeing or considering 13L. And I never considered fishing, which is what sim prefers. I don't see the value in fishing on this board. I did see the value in opening the upper left, so that's what I did.

>kacattac: EEHIORS 13L EH +24 237
#note Now I see the spot and play quickly, missing H1 RESHOE. My process definitely needs work, but it probably saved me from myself here since RESHOE is really just a trap and sims only a coupla points better than this despite the massive score difference.
>mahomes: AEINRST F1 RATINES +68 321
#note SK butts in: He played rather quickly here. I thought I saw a nine in this after it came down, and later discovered I was wrong. But there is a nine, RESINAT(ED), which is an eight that takes a D rather than a seven which takes an ED. Whether or not that was the glitch here I can't say. I also can't say for sure that I would have found RESINATED, but I can say that I have recently begun studying nines and found that it's not a crazy idea. Most of them will never be played, but once you start studying the wild ones you start seeing the tamer ones much more easily. I am going to keep at it. The best-simming non-bingos are 6I A(ZA)N and I12 (T)I(E). Tough to sleep at night after either of those, but also after this.
>kacattac: EIOPRST 1C SPO.TIER +89 326
#note I was considering REPOSIT(ED), which I "know" yet still looks so wrong. But now, for the same score, I have to take out this floater.
>mahomes: BDHLNRU E4 HUB +31 352
>kacattac: AEFIMNR I7 F.. +17 343
#note Gone fishing. Very confusing sim, it strongly prefers short plays parallel to HUB, holding the F. I don't get it. Seems savvier to go for another bingo here with S, T and ED floaters still floating and mutually unblockable. How do I explain my miss of ENFRAM(ED) here? It's complicated. I did see it, sort of, but then I didn't. You know, that kind of thing. But am I really winning more often after ENFRAMED than after this? Duckbrain says FOX bingos 22%, not great but by far the best.

>kacattac: AEIMNNR 3F .RAINMEN +74 417
>mahomes: ADEELNR O8 ENDEAR.. +33 396
#note SK blurts: this punts on the game, but there are several fishie plays which sim 25-40% to win.
>kacattac: ABCEIOV D3 CAB +31 448
#note I struggle mightily with endgame, and I can't always parse Quackle's endgame output. I think I really need to block (P)ULK at all costs here, right?
