>Joshua_Sokol: EELOQRX H6 OXER +22 22
#note I didn't consider for long enough the option of exchanging OQ. I also eschewed the defensive aspect of LOX. It would appear exchanging down to ELR is best here #tacticssmall
>Deen_Hergoott: DEHMO G6 HOMED +35 35
>Joshua_Sokol: AEILPQR 10D QAI. +16 38
#note I put some thought into this and F4 PARLE. PARLE reduces opponent's average score by 9 over this. If scorinig defense were equal, QAI(D) would be the right play. However, I grossly undervalued defense again here. #strategymedium
>Deen_Hergoott: ILOV F4 VIOL +27 62
>Joshua_Sokol: ELPRTVW E9 V.W +18 56
#note I did not consider any other spots to play in. WEPT at I8 was a possibility.

This does best, but really my hope is to get a lucky draw next turn, or at least force his hand in some way, such as what did occur. Otherwise this is pretty gross and I put myself in this position first by keeping the Q and secondly by committing myself to play it the turn after.
>Deen_Hergoott: EHOSU 12B HOUSE +26 88
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGLPRT 13A LEPT +27 83
>Deen_Hergoott: ADNW I8 WAND +21 109
>Joshua_Sokol: AADEGIR 4C GRA.IDAE +80 163
>Deen_Hergoott: ITZ 3G TIZ +50 159
>Joshua_Sokol: ACCGILS A12 C.AG +44 207
#note almost missed this hook. Definitely didn't spot it when Deen played HOUSE
>Deen_Hergoott: ABUY 11I .AUBY +22 181
>Joshua_Sokol: CEILMRS L5 RECLIM.S +80 287
#note This is... CSW only...

I guess I should have known, since no RECLOMB*. But wow.
>Deen_Hergoott: GNOU 8K G.UON +18 199
>Joshua_Sokol: EIINNTT 14A .NTE +28 315
#note wasn't sure if I could honestly afford to play straight defense here for no points considering both blanks were out and there were many spots to go. This is aggressive but proper.
>Deen_Hergoott: BEKL E2 LE.K +28 227
#note things were looking bleak for Deen, but he saw he could play LEAK setting up BLEAK. Cool idea.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AIINOT O8 .IdATION +74 389
#note meanwhile I was drawing like a fiend. Figured I would attempt to exhaust the downstairs since I couldn't really deal with B(LEAK) or setups at H2 yet.
>Deen_Hergoott: IP M11 .IP +18 245
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEFRRT C2 RE.RAFT +30 419
#note 14J FRAE looks pretty good too to block long-term. A(G)RAFE is too weak defensively and consonant-heavy
>Deen_Hergoott: DORU B6 DOUR +23 268
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AENOSS H2 A.. +4 423
#note this hits bingos in two spots with every tile except the J, but if I draw the J it's not only really difficult to block JONESES/YIPS, I also just get 59 or 62 at A8 and go out first. I didn't think it would work to block the J spot though, since he can block my bingos with something like JEFE or JIBE at 14J.

>Deen_Hergoott: BEIJ 14J JIBE +38 306
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ENOSST 1H SONnETS +86 509
#note A(ID) was the third setup of that sort that I made in Cornwall, and both other times were against Deen as well.
>Joshua_Sokol: (EFNY) +20 529
