#note VACUIST for a point more at K3 is probably best, taking out the very lucrative K column and not giving anything back. Happy enough with DURATIVE. The nines are EDUCATIVE and VEDUTISTA in row 5. VEDUTISTA - a painter of vedute, panoramic views of towns. VEDUTE is plural of VEDUTA (VEDUTAS also good, but no VEDUTES*), and plurals of VEDUTISTA are VEDUTISTAS, VEDUTISTE, and VEDUTISTI. Anagram of VEDUTISTA is VASTITUDE. This is all you need to know about VEDUTISTA without, you know, looking at a painting.

#note Missed RE(ED)MAN for 40, but this is fine to maintain a bingo lead with a strong leave. The sim slightly prefers shedding the M as well with WAMED, but all the main candidate plays are clustered around 88-89% win.
>Chris: EHNOORS K2 HEROONS +87 212
#note SHOEHORNS/NIXE is 91! HEROONS still sims slightly better, not allowing free access to the triple.
>Bill: AAEIMNR L1 MARE +29 238
#note This might have been a bit of a lazy play. I missed (W)A(SH)IER/NIXE and ZONA/ANT/WASH, which would be nice finds and are 1-2 in the sim, but just AIMER here is certainly better. Several plays are again close in the sim, but this is justifiably not one of them.

>Bill: AIINNNR K10 INN +15 253
#note This wins the sim. It seemed like a fairly clear play in game since I wasn't seeing the spot for ZONA and ZORI, but even with those plays, which sim very close, I'm a lot more comfortable with a balanced rack in a game that's going to be close whether or not I take the extra 15 points.
>Chris: Q M14 Q. +11 253
>Bill: AAINRTU O8 INAURAT. +74 327
#note This gives a 50+ point spot for the J and 38 for LAV/NAV/TAV. If the other spot for INAURATE, for 70, didn't also allow huge scores it would be worth consideration, but alas it does.
>Chris: CEERT 5B ERECT.. +20 273
>Bill: AEEINOW N13 NA. +38 365
#note Yet another instance of a lot of plays simming very close, with F2 WAITE in the lead, but I feel like there's no question that I've got to grab this spot. There should still be some scoring potential with the W next turn, and if I keep scoring I should be able to weather a bingo.
>Chris: BMOP D1 POMB. +28 301
>Bill: EEIIOTW C1 OWE +29 394
#note I think I should've played MEOW here. The sim has N6 WITE for 19, blocking the sevens lane and the J spot, leading, followed by F2 TWITE for 23 (accomplishing nothing defensively), OWE, and then MEOW. The fact that TWITE is simming well seems to indicate that I'm still expected to win most of the time that he gets a bingo down, but I really don't understand OWE outperforming MEOW. For only two fewer points, MEOW blocks a lot of bingos and reduces the score of others. As an example, in the game Chris would've had only OVERGETS for 66 instead of GROVETS for 78. As far as TWITE vs. MEOW goes, I think I'd rather take MEOW. Comprehensively knocking out the N column and blocking the J spot would be nice, but it's eight fewer points and the J bomb alone won't beat me. The disaster scenario is that I play MEOW and he either plays JO or TAJ or a bingo that sets up another good J spot immediately, and I'm faced with bingo lanes (in the first case) or J spots (in the second case) in different parts of the board. But I think this is a lesser evil than taking eight fewer points right now.
>Chris: EGORSTV N2 GROVETS +78 379
>Bill: EIIT F3 TI.I +17 411
#note Unfortunately I didn't write down my rack on this play. I'm sure it would've also been interesting to analyze.
>Chris: AFIRY D10 FAIRY +32 411
>Bill: CEEGJLS 13A JEE.S +24 435
#note This is -22 to L10 SEEL, but it's your classic safety play. I saw that it looked like UNI was his only out, but I was a lot more sure that there were no outs for 12 or more points than I was that there were no other outs, period.
