#player2 David David
>Arie: ADEFLRY 8D FLAYED +34 34
#note It's between this and FLY. This wins a sim by a very small margin. It's hard to evaluate between two radically different philosophies of opening move.
>David: BGIR 7G BRIG +27 27
>Arie: AEEEJNR 7C JEE +25 59
#note It's this or AJEE in the same spot. I think the A hook favors me here, and the A improves my leave as well.
>David: ACEF B6 FACE +28 55
>Arie: ADENRST 10B DARNEST +79 138
#note The other position of DARNEST scores one more point but isn't as defensive. I think this is probably worth it.
>David: EGNOR H10 .ONGER +24 79
>Arie: CHMOOQT C9 M.CHO +37 175
#note Best.
>David: EZ 14F ZE. +32 111
>Arie: ?NNOOQT D12 ONTO +22 197
#note I could exchange, but it's better to get 22 points right now.
>David: ?ESTTUV 15A VET. +21 132
>Arie: ?AEINQU A1 yANQUI +77 274
#note Missed RAmEQUIN for 128! I think I played this too eagerly. This is better than cAIQUE.
>David: DGIINOV 2A .VOIDING +80 212
>Arie: AEHIIRY 1H AIRY +30 304
#note Best.
>David: LTW D1 W.LT +22 234
>Arie: AEHIPRU 6F HAIR +30 334
#note So many reasonable looking plays are fairly close here. This scores well but makes a sacrifice in leave. 11E UH goes for a bingo with AEIPR, but with a lead I would prefer to make sure the points keep coming. HOURI 11G keeps a better leave than HAIR at the expense of 9 points, but opens up possibilities in the southeast quadrant. YAUPER K1 blocks BRIGS, so that's something. I really think that with my play scoring 8 more than any of the alternatives I ought to just go for it.
>David: ?DINSTU K5 DUSTINg +86 320
>Arie: AABEPUU 8K .UBAE +24 358
#note TAUPE 8K wins a sim - it's like TUBAE, but keeps the B instead of the P, and the B plays at 5G to make BABY, so it's more valuable. PUB is an alternative - leaves a weak leave, but scores 6 more and doesn't open up any floaters. I think I should play TAUPE.
>David: EIMOSSX 5E PAM +30 350
>David: EIMOSSX -- -30 320
>Arie: AEEPUWX 9M EEW +19 377
#note After 1000 iterations, this wins the most games. Close behind is EAUX N7. This looks paranoid but the pool is pretty decent and there are lots of ways for David to bingo and steal the game. My goal is to block some other spot next turn. AXE 9E is a nice fit - didn't see it.
>David: OPT 3C P.OT +25 345
>Arie: AILPSUX 3H AX +21 398
#note This looked reasonable to me, but Quackle likes playing AX 11E or XU J9, probably to outrun when David doesn't bingo.
>David: AKMO L2 MAKO +23 368
>Arie: EILPSSU M1 PULIS +32 430
>David: ILOR 11E OLI. +16 384
>Arie: ES N1 ES +18 448
>Arie: (R) +2 450
