#player2 Arie Arie
>Tim: AJRU 8F JURA +22 22
>Arie: CEGGIIR F8 .IGGIER +22 22
#note This is best. I am unable to exploit the vowels in JURA next to bonus squares.
>Tim: IX 9I XI +34 56
>Arie: CCINQTV 12E C.NQ +25 47
#note I found my poor draw frustrating here, I guess, and quickly bailed out the Q for the maximum number of points. There is a better idea available: CIVET 13C for 22, which sets up CINQ D12 for 50. Because CIVET cannot be parallelled, CINQ will only get blocked if Tim plays through the I in CIVET or the G in JIGGIER. VICE also sims better than CINQ. CINQ has the additional liability of setting up Q plays on the triple for Tim.
>Tim: AIU H12 .UAI +39 95
>Arie: CEHITVY J8 T.VY +30 77
#note This is fine - wins the sim by a large margin.
>Tim: EOSV K5 VOES +27 122
>Arie: BCEFHII 7H EF +28 105
#note I was thinking of playing FIBER 14B and almost did - ultimately, I didn't want to sacrifice eight points to do something that created parallel scoring options. BCHII is pretty weak but I have no other real options. Hopefully I can clean it up down the road.
>Tim: EENOOTU 6B ENDOLES +65 187
>Tim: EENOOTU -- -65 122
>Arie: BCHIINO 14B CIBO.I. +22 127
#note This wins a sim with Tim's rack specified. It scores well and is defensive
>Tim: DELNO K11 OLDEN +22 144
>Arie: FHKMNRS 14J K.RFS +44 171
#note This looks best.
>Tim: ETY 15C TYE +25 169
>Arie: ?DHMNUW 9D WH.M +22 193
#note This looks like a decent play. Obviously, creating 8A-D isn't optimal, but often plays there will make it easier for me to respond with a bingo while I hold the blank. HM 15N is more defensive but keeps the W - I don't want the W. Likewise, WHIT C12 is more defensive, but keeps the M, which is probably a small liability with the other tiles I have, and it scores two less.
>Tim: AZ 13C ZA +54 223
>Arie: ?DNNRUU G5 DUR.. +16 209
#note Here I miss UNROUNDS. I have no recollection of seeing that word ever before, or even UNROUND. Apparently I got it right on Zyzzyva on July 4, 2019. It takes a front R hook. This sims better than the dinky UN/LUN type fishes that speedy quackle likes, but it's a bit of a moot point because I should obviously be bingoing anyway. Oddly enough this is only a 10 point equity error.
>Tim: ADIMO H1 AMIDO +33 256
>Arie: ?ELNNUW 5E EN..W +18 227
#note This is a hard situation to play well. No play stands out as great but I ought to have played UNMEW 2F here. It scores two more and rids me of the U. I think I got fixated here on leaving the floaters in AMIDO open for myself, which obviously would be nice, but I'm sacrificing too much in leave. Also, UNMEW defends against bingos by Tim (and I know he has an S at the very least from ENDOLES.) If I'm keeping LN? I don't necessarily need a multiplicity of bingo lines.
>Tim: BEG G1 BEG +21 277
>Arie: ?AHLNTU 8A HULA +30 257
#note I don't know what to do here. HULA is the reasonable choice, scoring decently and bingoing reasonably often. AH F1 scores four more points right now, defends somewhat against nines, but leaves LNTU?, which is a sacrifice in terms of leave. Would anyone play HAUNT 4A here? Quackle loves it. I really think HULA is a reasonable play but it doesn't do that great in a sim, but sims lose some of their value in late game situations with blanks.
>Tim: EEIPRST N7 RESPITE. +66 343
>Arie: ?DNNRTT E3 TR.ND +6 263
#note This is a desperate situation - I can't believe how badly I've been drawing - drawing DNRT to NT? with 15/30 unseen tiles being vowels was an odd stroke of luck. I basically have to hope that Tim has missed all 3 Es and the blank and can't exploit the O column here.
>Tim: EELP O5 PEEL +26 369
>Arie: ?AENNST 7C AN. +14 277
#note I saw a few acceptable bingos and even considered phoneying with REMANENTS, but realized that these plays have basically no chance of winning. Instead, I decided to go for a nine from BA, basically hoping that Tim will elect to play 2 tiles to block some other spot and that I can go out for 83 and steal a win. I may have better success at this strategy with NAGS 10D, which scores enought that I can realistically bingo out and still win. After AND, I need an ultra low scoring block attempt to do the job. And I mean really low, like three points. That's not realistic. Same goes for NAG 10D, which scores one more point. NAGS also forces Tim to empty the bag.
>Tim: ?AIO N2 cIAO +10 379
>Arie: ?AENSTT M3 TASTE +27 304
#note Low on time, I can't find my only valid bingo, ETcHANTS. TASTE is second best.
>Tim: ALOOO A8 .ALO +7 386
>Arie: ?N 12A Nu +11 315
#note N?W at I3 is 2 more.
>Arie: (OO) +4 319
