#note would anyone play END I5 here?
>Mack: AEELNRT I1 ENTA.LER +78 110
>Josh: ADEISUW H1 WE +32 90
>Mack: ?EIKPQT L1 PIKE. +30 140
>Josh: AADISUU 5E AD...... +34 124
#note bad play. play PAUA or PUDU, I just didn't want to give him the extension and it looked like he had it. Silly. #strategymedium
>Mack: ?EEQSTT E4 Q.T +12 152
#note instead he gets this dump
>Josh: ACI F2 CAI. +24 148
#note everything is very close here, exchanging, CAI(D), (P)ICA, (T)AI(K)O... pick your poison #questionable
>Mack: ?EEIRST 9B vERITES +70 222
#note Looked for a while for 9s on row 8 or even 10s on row 2 ending in -SCIENT, but none exist. This is fine.
>Josh: EFORSUU 1L .OUF +27 175
>Mack: DDFGIOV D7 FO.DID +24 246
#note Missed DEVOID, which keeps a better leave and doesn't give back column C. #findingsmall
>Josh: EEEORSU B6 OEU.RE +9 184
#note there are no scoring spots on this board, and the pool is clunky. Therefore this is actually a really poor decision over U(K)E or (K)UE. KUE was my other consideration, but I liked how this kept a bunch of things open and allowed me to sscore well next turn if I couldn't bingo. #tacticslarge
>Mack: CGLLNOV N1 .NCLOG +26 272
>Josh: ?ABELPS O5 PoSABLE +86 270
#note A1 BEcLASP! #knowledgemedium #findingmedium
>Mack: GLNSTVY 8A G.Y.T +34 306
#note 10 points seemed like a bit too much to give up for 11A LEVITY, but in hindsight it does seem worth it. GNS has decent bingo potential with 3 Is unseen, and minimizes my chances of consonant overload since it keeps one less consonant. It also blocks the A11 spot and keeps the A1 spot, which I'm probably a favorite to use over Josh since I can put my S at 6A. The LNSV leave after GUYOT really isn't going anywhere on this board and could turn disastrous very easily. #strategysmall
>Josh: BMNORST A11 TOMBS +32 302
#note the S isn't worth it here. No hooks, not likely I will hit a bingo, I need to hope he is clunky and I draw something score-y. Or another miracle.
>Mack: LNSUVVZ 8K VULV. +12 318
>Josh: AEHINRR L8 .NHAIRER +74 376
#note ridiculous, you can call me the two last moves (douchebag)
>Mack: AMNNRSZ K11 ZA +46 364
#note Quackle says 11J AZAN wins 45%, which makes absolutely no sense. The problem is that if Josh has a bad rack (i.e. all vowels), I'll draw all consonants and it's doubtful I'll be able to make up my 32-point plus tempo deficit after AZAN. And if Josh has a good rack, he'll easily be able to block any bingos I draw (e.g. ROMAINES, BINARISM) and outrun me. I'm honestly not seeing any draws that win for me after AZAN since there's so many decent scoring plays for him like B13 OOH, AUTHOR, and ROUX. At the same time, it's not like ZA ever really wins either. The only bingo I can draw is SONARMEN, which he basically always blocks with 1 in the bag, and he either has the X and easily outscores me or I get it and have major consonant trouble.
>Josh: AAHIOOT B13 OOH +29 405
#note seemed best, though OI B13 is champ's choice since it sets up OATH for 32 and keeps the H for other scoring plays. But upon further inspection, the average spread of OI is +12.625 and the average spread of OOH is +30.
>Mack: IMNNRSU M8 .UMS +29 393
#note Didn't notice he had ATAXIC. -6. #endgamesmall
>Josh: AAITX 2A ATAXI. +30 435
>Josh: (INNR) +8 443
