#note Hated 10D OUD since the LOUD hook will be tough to block, and didn't think NIDUS was worth it since it's the case S. Missed 8H AUDIO, but I'd rather score more and I don''t mind a vowel-heavy leave since the pool is pretty consonant heavy. NIDUS does have the advantage of not giving back row 11 for bingos and taking out row I in addition to scoring 11 more, at the expense of getting rid of the case S and the U for the Q in case I draw it. Definitely a close call - for what it's worth they sim about evenly.

#note Best here is 8L ZEES blocking bingos on column N. I saw ETHICAL there but correctly permuted that FEZ outruns ETHICAL with every possible 2-tile draw. I missed ATHLETE, however, which beats FEZ with 3 of 6 possible 2-tile draws. ZEES seems to only lose with one possible draw after GLACIATE and one possible draw after 11G THECATE, which is better than FEZ (which also loses in some scenarios after both GLACIATE and THECATE). Another option I considered was 1L EF setting up FEZ/ZED for 58, but I correctly determined that does even worse than FEZ, losing even in some situations after ETHICAL. If not for ATHLETE the two plays are close, but given I missed ATHLETE, FEZ is definitely a mistake. #preendgamemedium
