>Jackson: ?ABEMTU H8 MUTABlE +76 76
>Mack: AEIINOR 12F RO.INIA +18 18
#note Hated I12 OI - if I don't bingo next turn I'm digging myself into an even deeper hole and this at least keeps it more open long-term. Quackle will tend to overvalue OI here as it doesn't account for the fact that Jackson will play extra defensively, so given that the two plays sim about even, ROBINIA is definitely better.
>Jackson: AWW 13L WAW +23 99
>Mack: AEEEHIQ 10F QA. +32 50
#note Both QAT and QUAI, my only realistic options, are really bad for the board but I figured at least QAT leaves open 7s at G2. After QUAI I just wasn't seeing any way back into the game after Jackson takes care of the QUAI hooks.
>Jackson: EPSTU O11 UPSET +40 139
>Mack: EEEHIMR 11H .HEM +33 83
>Jackson: AENOV J8 NOV..AE +20 159
>Mack: CDEEILR 14M LE. +18 101
#note Going for an -ED bingo on column I. I felt plays there like RED or ICED are too easily blockable since they take lots of hooks, but column I gets blocked a lot too so perhaps it's still better than LEE. I also considered NEREID, but that seemed bad as well after he parallels. Everything is quite bleak in any case, so this is a #strategysmall at most.
>Jackson: DOY I7 YOD +24 183
>Mack: CDEGIJR 14F JE.R.D +30 131
#note Pretty much no choice here. I have to score to stay within striking distance, and at least this opens a marginal -ON lane on row 15 which may come in handy later.
>Jackson: DEIOS 8H ...ODIES +39 222
>Mack: CGIKNSZ K4 GINZ. +30 161
#note Quackle likes M7 ZIG but it severely underestimates how often Jackson just blocks column O after, leaving me with basically nothing. At least I'll maybe draw something like 4D SNACKING after Jackson blocks the S after GINZO (which I still expect him to do).
>Jackson: IOP 7M POI +19 241
>Mack: CGHKSTV -CKGVHT +0 161
#note Don't remember my exact rack, but I definitely had 7 consonants and kept just an S. Didn't keep anything else to maximize turnover as I desperately need the blank at this point and probably also an O so I can try to hit row 15.
>Jackson: EFIL L3 LIFE +27 268
>Mack: FINSTUX 4H FUN.. +13 174
#note The plan: play 3G TIX next turn and open up an IFS hook that's very annoying for Jackson to block. Seems as good as anything here.
>Jackson: ABG J2 BA.G +20 288
>Mack: EILRSTX 9L EX +40 214
#note The plan = foiled. Now hoping somehow Jackson forgets to block column O and I hit a 9 there eventually.
>Jackson: ACEHR H1 CHA.ER +42 330
>Mack: IILRSTY 1A LYRISTI. +92 306
>Mack: IILRSTY -- -92 214
#note I slapped this down instantly even though I knew for sure it was just LYRICIST. There's really no reason not to try it here - I'm not even costing myself much spread as it gets challenged off as my next best option is LILY for 14. I apparently win 1% after LILY and 20% if LYRISTIC stays on, so I should play it even if Jackson only lets it stay 5% of the time. He certainly challenges it off far more often than he lets it go, but combos like LYRICIST/LYRISTIC* and LOGICIST*/LOGISTIC are easy enough to confuse that the odds of it staying are probably above 5%.
>Jackson: AAGOR 13B AGORA +22 352
>Mack: IILRSTY 3L .ILY +14 228
>Jackson: EOTV N1 VO.TE +16 368
>Mack: CIRRSTT D12 T.RC +18 246
>Jackson: KSTU 15A STU.K +33 401
>Mack: ?INNRST 2B TaNNIS. +22 268
#note Looked for a while for 8s and 9s on column B, but nothing plays. TaRNISH is 1 better not to give back INDOLE. #endgamesmall
>Jackson: DEILO D1 I.DOLE +16 417
#note Congrats to Jackson on holding me to my low tournament game ever! #defenselarge
>Jackson: (R) +2 419
