>Arie: AIILTUW 5D TAWI. +16 16
#note There are no very good options here. I eschewed exchanging, but AILT is a pretty decent 4 tile leave, and exchanging wins the sim. I forgot that WALIE is now good, but TAWIE actually sims better. WIT I3 also sims better than TAWIE - I don't like that at all. At least with TAWIE where I put it I'm likely to get a heavy consonant at A4, which will allow my to clear out whatever vowel-heavy rack I end up with next turn.
>Josh: EHOV 4A HOVE +32 64
>Arie: DILNOTU A4 .OUND +27 43
#note This looks best.
>Josh: EGIOU 4H .OUGIE +18 82
>Arie: EEFILLT F2 FLE. +18 61
#note This or ELF B8 for one less point - ELF wins the sim - not sure why. It doesn't seem to do anything good to the board. Maybe I benefit from HOVEL, which FLEW blocks.
>Josh: CKOR B1 CRO.K +28 110
>Arie: EIILOTY 1A I.ILY +33 94
#note This looks best.
>Josh: AMMO 3K AMMO +31 141
>Arie: AEEIOOT 7H .OOTIE +11 105
#note There are a lot of ways for FOOTIE to go very badly - it wins a sim, probably because I at least get 11 points right now. I reasoned that the O9 spot is hard to exploit well without a consonant blend under the IE, and that I'm behind, so I could probably use some entropy.
>Josh: EPRV N5 PERV +21 162
>Arie: AAENNRT 5J NA +14 119
#note What an uninspiring play. I have no other choices.
>Josh: ADEGIRT L6 D.GERATI +74 236
>Arie: ADENRST 9A STANDER +70 189
#note I played this instead of DETRAINS for 4 more points because I wanted to leave as many floaters as possible open, and because I thoughth that the E at 13H would benefit him without benefitting me.
>Josh: JO 2N JO +36 272
>Arie: BEELRSZ K9 REZ +50 239
#note I missed BEZEL here, which is clearly better.
>Josh: ?EIINPT D7 PI.NIEsT +70 342
#note This is a phoney which I did not have the audacity to challenge. I assumed Josh knew it. It's not even in Collins. PATINIZE and PAINTIER are available but they're clearly weaker positionally.
>Arie: BDELRSU 13H REBU.LDS +74 313
#note If I challenge off PINNIEST and then play BUNDLERS, I'm in a great position - any bingo Josh plays will take only a 30 point lead and give me responses on the triple.
>Josh: ATX M9 TAX +37 379
>Arie: ?AAILNW 2F .A +5 318
#note I feel like I almost redeem myself here - this sets me up for a lot of bingos. I bingo with 5 of the 9 unseen tiles (GNSSU.) In order to win, I have to pull one of those five tiles, not get the spot blocked (although if I get the N or the G for WEANLING F8 I can still win if the spot gets blocked) and not have Josh threaten something that outruns (and it's not just QURSH - something like SQUINCH or QUAIGHS through the I will beat any bingo.) If the Q or the H is in the bag, Josh can't score much. Basically, I need to hope that I draw GNSSU and that the second tile in the bag is one of HQU - Josh can't score much without all three of those tiles. I got my way on the first requirement but not the second. Also, in the event that I draw SSU, I need to threaten something through the E or the I from Josh's perspective so that he blocks down there rather than column 1. Odds aren't great but if I play for points I automatically lose.
>Josh: HQSU H11 QU.SH +54 433
#note QURSH will beat any bingo I have.
>Arie: ?AILNSW 1G LAWINeS +79 397
#note I played mostly decent scrabble - wish I had seen BEZEL and challenged PINNIEST.
>Arie: (ACGN) +14 411
