#note This is fine.
>Lauren: EEGIN D8 .EEING +28 28
>Arie: NQRTTUW 10B QU.RN +36 80
#note I think this is better than QUIRT or QUINT, which leave better leaves but score 8 less and hang hooks into the triple. Sim concurs, but barely.
>Lauren: AAH 9F AHA +26 54
>Arie: AEFRTTW 10H WAFT +25 105
#note This is best.
>Lauren: EITU B10 .UITE +28 82
>Arie: EEHORST L4 HETEROS +83 188
#note Only bingo.
>Lauren: BDES A12 BEDS +42 124
>Arie: AGGIIOR M3 GIRO +19 207
#note This barely wins a sim against other unappealing choices - neither score or leave is particularly great, but it does close down some lines for eights (while creating a new particularly dangerous line that will hopefully be a one-turn opening.
>Lauren: EOORRUZ -4 +0 124
>Arie: ACEGISY K3 GAY +32 239
#note I played this in lieu of CAY N4 41 for defense. Sim does indeed agree that this is better than CAY, but suggests that I do CAGY K2 instead. It scores 7 more, but leaves EIS, which is not as good as CEIS. Sim has it winning by 6 - I feel there must be something else going on here that I'm not picking up on. ICY in the same spot also sims a bit better - I get it, AEGS is not that much worse than CEIS and it scores 4 more.
>Lauren: DEE 11I DEE +20 144
>Arie: CEIINOS N6 EOSINIC +68 307
#note I chose this over NICOISE to avoid opening up O12-15.
>Lauren: ACIORTT 12F RICOTTA +87 231
#note Underscored by 6.
>Arie: ?AEMNOY O5 MAYO +42 349
#note I saw GEOMANcY before it got blocked. This wins a sim over MONEYbAG 3D and would probably also win a sim over GEOMANcY.
>Lauren: FLOOSUV E2 EFLUVI. +26 257
>Lauren: FLOOSUV -- -26 231
>Arie: ?AEKNNW H12 .AKE +30 379
#note WAKENiNG 3D for 66 is available and I somehow missed it. It's not really that great - leaves a ridiculously high-scoring hook and offers Lauren a 38-point play of FIVE at a bare minimum - still worth doing, though. This and ADOWN I10 are the best non-bingo options.
>Lauren: EFOV E4 FOVE. +22 253
>Arie: ?BNNORW 15G N.WBORNs +63 442
#note Only bingo.
>Lauren: TZ G11 T.Z +43 296
>Arie: ?MRSUVX 13L XU +27 469
#note This looks like a basic standard play but it does very poorly in the sim. The surprising sim winner is ViM D3 26 - it looks bizarre, but I get that I want to take out the D column - it helps Lauren and doesn't help me, because I don't have I or O. Plus I threaten to keep scoring next turn with XU or some other X play.
>Lauren: ILLLNOP D3 OIL +18 314
>Arie: ?LMPRSV 2B VaMPS +32 501
#note This is probably fine. I need to block NAUPLII 2D. I can fish off the V and hope for a bingo, but anything I get is easily blockable. Note that I know Lauren has the U from EFLUVIA. The only alternative is VAMP instead, which makes it less likely that I can threaten to go out.
>Lauren: AIILLNU 1F ILIAL +17 331
>Arie: LPR C1 L.P +16 517
#note Probably 9 or 10 out of 13 plays optimal. Decently played game - too bad I missed WAKENiNG.
>Lauren: NU 14N UN +6 337
>Lauren: (R) +2 339
