#note or COGGED, liked this a bit more, it's close

#note I came close to playing J(E)U, which really restricts his bingo% and keeps good scoring tiles. Usually I would do something like that. I liked JUNKED over JUKE to block the E, since he likely has 4 consonants and 1 vowel, the E is a really good lane for him. He played DUD really fast, but I also have experienced Nicholas to be very fish heavy, so I opted against making a huge sacrifice for range. I still liked some defensive value of JUNKED. it even wins a sim with a lot of 4c1v bingo ranges implied, though JEU is by far the most defensive

#note yeah I was too quick to choose BURQA over QUINT. The bottom hotspot is actually way bigger than the 2 row, not a ton of tiles go before AN, and I even keep the B with QUINT. They sim really close together, but especially with QUINT blocking the easier hotspot, I prefer it as a play.

#note really uncomfortable position here. I liked BROW for obvious reasons but it gives a really easy and good scoring spot to him. I feel comfortable in an outmanoeuvring position like this, but not if I keep giving easy spots like BROW. Q likes 1N WO, interestingly. there are quite a few vowels out so it works. Q also likes TWO second. I think WO seems like a better version of TWO now, I must have not counted the vowels or something, not really sure. TWO just doesn't give anything back, but it creates this really annoying S hook with the blank that could become an issue later on. Stilll it's not a huge concern right now. WO does look better though. I also missed OBENTO 8F which I really like.

#note shit, FRON(TON). that's the play. I think I saw it briefly but thought it was no good. the whole process was quick though and not very conscious

#note not sure. I liked blocking both S hooks at once, both to take out the O3 scoring spot, but also for bingoes. I liked keeping my R for PAVER/KIR, a great defensive play that will take out the last of the bingo options as long as he doesn't hit it immediately next turn. I could also do KIR now, or be more aggressive with MONY setting up the L hook. I still like this play but I'm not sure

#note I at least keep OH plays for next turn with this. this may not be the optimal play but I liked taking out all GG scenarios and entering into a complicated preendgame
>schneider: IM 9N MI +21 318
>smylie: AEEHLOU 5K OH +23 337
#note Maybe I just play EAU now to try and draw the blank or other good tiles. that's the only advantage over just doing OH now, cause my rack can get much better than just OH next turn, whereas after OH I'm kinda stuck. Maybe that's the play. I could also exchange down to AH or H or something. starting to lose confidence that I can "outmanoeuvre" or whatever that even is

#note I didn't see (MO)UE, which is interesting. It does take away big 10J plays for later. I don't trust he'll play those immediately, I feel like he will try to not empty the bag. It is good to deal with those play though cause I have to at some point unless I draw the blank. MOUE still gives back MOUES plays but they aren't as bad.

>smylie: AEIILTU M9 AIT +10 362
#note very tough position here. ETUI is the most winning play, winning with E and ? straight up. AIT only officially wins with a blank draw, but makes his position really tough if I draw an R (he has to find TOO(T) and still execute a tough endgame, or find YO and then U stick, and no matter what it's tough). I played AIT not out of some technical reasoning but just cause I wanted to block YAMS plays to make his endgame tougher, and assumed I wasn't going to win outright with anything but a blank draw. after ETUI his wins are far easier - I didn't spot the win with the E draw, but I'd still play AIT to make his endgame hard. not AI cause the hooks make his plays easy.
