#player1 Judy_Cole Judy Cole
#player2 Samuel_Kaplan Samuel Kaplan
>Judy_Cole: IIIIIII - +0 0
#note Judy exchanged 5 tiles here.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AADEIQT 8E QADI +28 28
#note I considered QADI 8E and QADI 8G here. Wasn't crazy about sticking a consonant on the star. This play might be better in response to an exchange 7 or something. Her range is almost entirely random after an exchange 5.
>Judy_Cole: ?ABEMNS I6 BASEMeN +77 77
#note Nice find by Judy here. Her best play is the not so easy to see ENjAMBS at I2 for 79. AMBoNES also works for 79 in the same spot.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAEILOT H12 IOTA +18 46
#note I missed the T hook on BASEMeN. I did have the right idea though. 13G IOTA does a great job of forking the board.
>Judy_Cole: ILLU E8 .UILL +28 105
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEELORV 14C ELEVA.OR +71 117
#note My play of ELEVA(T)OR 14C is 2nd best play. OVERLA(T)E is the play. Inexcusable miss.
>Judy_Cole: ADEELST G1 DESALTE. +62 167
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?FIIPRS 2A PuRIFI.S +78 195
#note My play is 7th best- although it does create a very wide open board. I did not know RIFlIps. Chickening out on SPIFfI(E)R was bad.
>Judy_Cole: AJW 15A JAW +44 211
>Samuel_Kaplan: CDU 13A CUD +26 221
#note Don't have full rack for this one
>Judy_Cole: EGM J5 GEM +18 229
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEIORT 1F O.EA +23 244
#note My play is 2nd best. IO(D)ATE 1E is best play although it does give back a lot of points. Turns out, if I did play IO(D)ATE, her next play scores more and she doesn't end up burning her S. Even if I had seen it, I'm not sure I would have played it. I inferred more multi-point tiles in her range. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this play.
>Judy_Cole: EHORSW K9 WHORES +36 265
#note See what I mean? She would have had WHORE 2J for 53 and kept her S!
>Samuel_Kaplan: EHIRTUX K4 HIT +23 267
#note Not a great play. I was hoping to draw an A for A1 A(P)EX for 66. Got too greedy here.
>Judy_Cole: BZ 10D B.Z +34 299
>Samuel_Kaplan: EERRTUX 4D RET.X +40 307
#note Debated L11 REX and 4D RET(A)X. 5 points is a lot to give up in a close game. With the 12:18 vowel:consonant ratio, I decided to give up an extra consonant. My play is 3rd best. If I had to do it over again, I still would have done RET(A)X.
>Judy_Cole: AEGNTTY - +0 299
#note Exchange 4
>Samuel_Kaplan: EIPRUUV A1 U.PER +30 337
#note After her exchange 4, I was looking to partially block the C in CUD and take out the 3x3 through the P. IUV is a gross leave but I managed to score. Quackle says that PURI L1 leaving the not much better EUV is the best play for 28. Not sure I want to give an easy bingo lane. My play is 4th.
>Judy_Cole: AIOT L3 IOTA +28 327
#note 2nd time IOTA has been played this game! LOL
>Samuel_Kaplan: CGINOUV M1 VINO +24 361
#note This play wasn't so great. I definitely wanted to get rid of my N with 4 unseen Ns remaining. There has to be a better way of accomplishing this. Most likely VIN would have been fine since I don't give Judy the hooks to HOO. Again, a lot of points I'm giving up with VIN vs VINO at M1.
>Judy_Cole: EGKNNOY 5C KEN +20 347
>Samuel_Kaplan: CEGNRTU 1M .UG +21 382
#note (UPPER)CUT would have been sweet- didn't even think of it. My play is 2nd best.
>Judy_Cole: Y 13G Y. +18 365
>Samuel_Kaplan: CEFNRTY N4 FRY +27 409
#note After concluding that Judy would need a bingo to start with a vowel after N4 FRY, I knew this would win the game for me. This play is best.
>Judy_Cole: ADGNNOO L8 GOOD +21 386
>Samuel_Kaplan: CEINT O6 ETIC +23 432
#note My play is 3rd best- CITE at M7 is 3 more.
>Judy_Cole: ANN M10 NAN +13 399
#note This game was reasonably well played. The plays I'm making aren't outrageously bad for the most part, it's just a couple plays that I am failing to see that score a couple more.
