#note insta-exchange, definitely keep the R! every bit counts
>Dr_Bing: DEIRSTX 8G TIX +20 20

#note the question is, does TIX signal that Dave held a T last turn? In hindsight, he either had two Ts (otherwise he'd play XI), or he's consonant-heavy (his leaves could be DERS, DENS). I think he's about 50-50 to have a T (higher than random), in which case this is a significant mistake and I should be playing FINNY to give back the TWINY hook. To me, these are some of the hardest kinds of moves in the game, but also what keeps the game interesting!

#note I could play CRY at 10F to set up an S hook, but it didn't seem necessary.

#note it felt like this play left the board in a nice defensive shape.

#note dizzying array of options - couldn't dig up the star play of AZOIC at 8A.

#note hard to say that I have the edge - I really need to bingo next turn to take control of the game, hence why I'm comfortable opening (I also don't have a choice)

#note not surprising that he blocked the great plays on row 1. Thankfully the Q came out with the U, giving me at least a chance of outrunning. Q thinks SUQ wins half of the endgames.
>Dr_Bing: AEFORRV N10 OVER +13 406
#note only two winning plays...and this isn't one of them! I put Dave under enough time pressure that he switched the order of his two plays, not seeing that I had a good block for FRA at 14B. it looked to him like I could block all the spots for OVER at the bottom-right, but in reality I have no good blocks.
>JD: BELMNP B9 LE.M.N +22 443
#note I can also win with ABAMP at C11, or really any play that blocks the huge FRA play.
>Dr_Bing: AFR M13 ARF +16 422
#note one more point at N1
